Q: Do the colours always flash or is there an option for steady beam of light?

Hi. The torch will light up as follows: WHITE. steady white light, dimmed white light, strobe flashing. (In that order by subsequently pressing the white button), RED, GREEN & YELLOW: Will light up as a steady light, then by pressing the appropriate button again, will change to a flashing light. The white light doesn't have the flashing option, but does have the dimmed light, and the steady strobing light. I hope that this helps.

No, but this is a really good quality torch. I was very impressed with it

Sorry bought for someone else so not sure but he did say it's a brilliant sturdy torch with all the different bright colours. He said it's the best one he's ever found. Sorry I can't be of any more help to your question.
