To salt or not to salt
So, my husband and I were on a ship that had these at every table and we just loved them. As soon as we got home I went online to find them, it wasn't a surprise that AMAZON had them since I buy most of everything I need from them. We bought two sets and it's just the two of us, but now salt and pepper don't sit in a dispenser for EVER. I was more motivated to look faster when we found a bug in our salt shaker that was half full. I couldn't remember the last time I had filled it so it made sense to me to have something smaller that you may have to refill more often but then it is fresher. You only need one hand to hold it and press the button grinder, well let me rephrase, USUALLY you only need one hand. When you are grinding it yourself sometimes it requires a two thumb press but again.....who cares it's fresher

The design is a bit flawed, but it functions prettywell.
Very sturdy and well-made.The button you push can get stuck, but just turn it slightly, and it should work. It unscrews in multiple spots, and doesn't screw together very easily...probably the biggest drawback. Just unscrew the bottom metal piece only. They should've sealed the rest of it, had better threading and had the threads metal on metal not on the glass, and this would've been a solid 5 star review. That being said, I think it's a good buy even with the flaws.

Plastic broke after 19 months
I like these thumb grinders. One of the grinders broke 19 months after purchase. They don't get heavy heavy use in my home. The threading to reassemble the unit can be tricky sometimes and that may have contributed to weakening the plastic, clear part. Super disappointed. I try to buy products that won't add to landfill waste and have high quality design and manufacturing, don't think these qualify for those labels. Also, the recommended salt crystals seem to be a little to big for these grinders.

Only positive is it's cheap but then a normal grinder can be had for $12
Yep this a turd.Originally arrived with manufacturing defect that had it standing uneven on flat surfaces. Now, however, the acrylic window portion has developed cracks in it and the threads (plastic) are cracking as well. That's not all though, the steel threads at the top of that thumb press are defective and do not fully tightened so you'll have the rear portion pop off every now and then.It also barely produces any grinds with several pumps. Only positive is it's cheap but then a normal grinder can be had for $12. Positive reviews on here are not justified

Neat way to use salt and pepper
these are always a conversation piece. Just tap the top and salt comes out as needed as well as pepper. Just the small chunked salt and peppercorns. Works great and takes up very little room

Thank you
They were used in a restaurant that my wife and I were at. Thought they were easy to use and very cool sale and pepper shakers. Found them right then and there on Amazon and ordered them. Came very fast and were exactly what they said they were. Just wished they had salt and pepper in them. :)Thank you

If you like your peppercorn whole then buy this!
Broke after a few uses. I actually ate whole peppercorns! Yuck! The salt shaker had to be pounded on and pounded on at least 20 times to get a small sprinkling of salt. It looked cool but was the worst imaginable salt & pepper shaker I have ever used!

) The principle itself is fine, and it grinds nice fine salt
One of them came broken. It couldn't be screwed together. as metal part is too loose. So I really got ONE for the price. Second one is somewhat working, but screwing it together is a pain, and I don't think it'll last, as thread in plastic is already... screwed :) The principle itself is fine, and it grinds nice fine salt. Really fine/small amount per push, so potentially it can reduce your salt intake. Just needed thicker metal and harder plastic, or construction to eliminate thread on the plastic part...
