It shouldn't be so difficult to sing the praises of such a simple item. It's puts out a lot of light, lasts a long time, and can charge usb devices. The waterproof specs are right on, no hiding behind IP ratings that just mean they can withstand a sweaty hand or a couple raindrops. You can actually dunk this thing in water and it will float and continue to function normally. I have one in my gear bag and another in my camping supplies.

Light stick is very bright it is awesome, I feel the shipping was a little slow but it's ok the light is very bright and it is what is stated.Updated review bought this light in 2016 as you can tell it’s old and been through a lot and still gets very bright and works great. I would say they made a great product. I do wish they came out with an upgraded version with lifepo4 this is just lithium ion I’m guessing. But either way you can see in the two pictures one is on low second Is medium and it really lights up the area. If I turn it on bright it really lights stuff up it lasts along time for me. This is a great light! The three levels of intensity are perfect for my uses, though I don't need a strobe for the uses I've had for it. I like the ability to use it as a power bank, as I can't have enough batteries and charging devices for all the different USB devices I own. If there's a power failure, I'd rather have too many batteries than not enough!My only complaint, which keeps this from being a 5-star review, is that you don't have a choice of light intensity if you use the light while it is being charged. You can only use it at the lowest intensity during charging. This means you can't use it as an area light you keep on charge, taking it OFF charge only when you need to move it around. To use it at a brighter intensity requires it be unplugged from the charger. It's still a great light, but I'd like to be able to keep it charging when I HAVE power and still use it at the brightest intensity, and have it always at full charge if the power goes out.

I think this is my husband's new favorite tech gadget for camping. The brightest setting was super bright. We love the fact that it charges our phones as well. My only complaint is that the light bank is one sided, so half of the cylinder does not give off light. That tended to be annoying whenever we hung the light up as opposed to holding it because if it was knocked or moved at all, the light would spin wildly on its string causing a strobe effect over the camp. It also makes it tricky to keep the light directed where you want it when hanging. Not the end of the world, but it's a design flaw that could definitely use some improvement.

This is a must for any occasion. Three different light levels including a strobe function with 350 lumens on high setting.It is waterproof to 6ft but my only test was the bathtub and no problems there as far a function. Good up to 6ft of depth. They say you can get up to 46 hours on one charge but I got a little longer on the lowest setting. Fits nicely into a back pack for hunting, camping and prepping. Has a USB plug on one end so you can charge phones, cameras, etc. Used it to finish off a charge on my GoPro.

The first task for this light was helping me replace a driveshaft under my car. The medium setting was more than enough light to get the job done. I left it on the whole time (5 hours?) and the indicators were full. I've read some reviews saying there are 5 blue LEDs; mine seems to have 4 so either one is defective or some changes have been made. It is said to be waterproof and it is; the end cap has a small rubber o-ring seal inside the cap that is supposed to keep the ports dry. I'm not sure how much I trust that little seal, especially as I have a way of over-tightening sometimes by mistake. I am considering buying a few more of these as gifts. It's a really fantastic little light source. It'll be in my pack all summer long.

I am disappointed that I tried charging my iPhone X twice and both times with a full charge the mini only charged my phone by 50%. After that it was fully depleted and only have 5 minutes left of life in the battery. I purchased this for backpacking hoping I could recharge my phone once and have 50% of the batter left for the tent at night. Not happening and clearly won't charge TWO smartphones.I got 7 hours of battery life on full brightness. Of course the lower settings will add a ton more hours.The design is simple, only one side shows the light so you don't blind yourself and the three brightness levels are easy to use. It's also lightweight which is what makes it good for backpacking. If it ONLY could charge a phone as it advertised. Very disappointed!

I stumbled across these units after spending 30 quid on several USB light bulbs. I bought one to check it out and I must say I wasn't disappointed. It looks like a skinny version of these money tubes that Department stores used to handle cash, and just as solid. The wand has 3 brightness levels as well as a flash mode, but as I am using this on a pop-up gazebo the mid range setting gives a surprisingly bright level. I've bought 4 for the moment to hang on a 3 x 6m pop-up canopy and as they are waterproof to a depth of 6 feet and have a rechargeable battery of 5200mAh I reckon I can have superb lighting with the spare juice to charge my phone should I so need it. Solid, reliable and robust piece of kit that allows you to operate a stall when you are miles away from a wall socket. I like them very much.Update 12th October 2016 - An order for a further 4 LightSticks resulted in the receipt of 3 good and 1 malfunctioning unit. The Amazon process was fairly straightforward for returning defective goods, but this was only a money back return and no offer of a replacement. Hardly the end of the world but a swap out would have been the preferred option.

To be clear, I was not given this product for review. I bought this for my dad as a gift.My dad does maintenance for living and is using this all the time. He loves how it has a battery of its own that seems to last forever. Lowest setting is bright enough to use as a flash light, but to read or to lit a regular sized room, you may need it at full power (which only lasts a few hours at a single charge). But full power is really bright.I wish you keep on selling this product on Amazon.ca!

One of those products you wonder what you ever did without it, I use this light everyday, it has never let me down. I have dropped it, submerged it, ran over it, still keeps on shining

Bought this as a main light for a Market stall.It's excellent and is very bright on the middle and high settings.This was switched on at 11.30 am on the middle setting and then off again at 19.15 and still had 1/2 the power left in it.I will be purchasing a mother one as soon as I get paid,as it will come in handy for many other situations and has the benefit of recharging your mobile device if your battery runs low.(haven't tried this function yet)Feels well made and does what it says on the tin.Happy

Love this light! Three brightness settings are perfect for different settings. Plus being able to have another back up power source to charge my phone is a bonus. I was more impressed with this than I thought I would be.
