Q: Can I buy 100% wool in olive drab?

Ektos just released a 100% virgin wool blanket in white. Excellent quality, I got two of them. You could use RID dye to color them any shade of Olive Drab or Forest Green you like. The blue ones are thicker/heavier by about a half pound in drape weight - better for thick winter over-blankets. The white ones are snug and warm, better drape, and actually smell nice out of the bag. Anyway - check the 100% White Virgin Wool.. they're awesome!

Q: Are all wool blankets machine washable?

My Harbor Freight wool blanket just came out of the washer shedding all over the floor and inside the washer. It's destroyed. So the "Dry Clean Only" patch was VERY serious... even when washing gently, in cold water, and in Woolite. So wool blankets can only be machine washed if the label says so. I learned my lesson. I'm going to order an EKTOS blanket now.

Q: If no other sheets what temperature can it still keep you warm?

Very skill dependent. Below zero if you've stayed perfectly dry and you're in a wind sheltered location with a fire in front of you and a rock face or something at your back, and you can sleep sitting up with it perfectly wrapped around you. Or you could freeze at 50 f if you're wet and there's a 30 mph wind blowing on you and you're lying on the bare ground with no fire. I'm just answering for wool blankets in general since I don't own this one (I was just browsing). The below zero thing assumes it's a heavy and high quality one of course. Personally I've done okay with a cheapish 80/20 blend one down into the 20s f and I was semi-wet/damp and there was a light wind on me but I had a fire. I fell asleep sitting up with a good wrap and was warm but at some point I rolled over onto my side and lost the seal and woke up shivering lol, didn't help that the fire was coals by that point

Q: Can this 100% wool blanket be washed in a washing machine? If so what setting?

Yes - this blanket is machine washable using cold water and a mild detergent (Woolite for example is great). If possible it's also advisable to use a gentle cycle and/or a front loading style washing machine. To dry - either hang on a line or use the no-heat (air fluff) setting on your dryer
