The Lifegiving Home Experience: A 12-Month Guided Journey Paperback – February 2, 2016

I purchased this guide along with the book, A Life Giving Home by Sally Clarkson. This has definitely topped my list as one of my favorite book sets. The guide is broken into monthly segments, filled with ideas of how you can incorporate the certain trait of that month into your own home. Each segment is short enough to read in those small, spare moments that we get as busy moms. I have been so encouraged and inspired by these books and have a new spring in my step to pour into my family and set the tone and atmosphere of our home. Running a family of 8 can get daunting at times and it's easy to forget the beauty of what I do in the middle of the mundane tasks. These books helped me to remember the importance of loving the people in my home, and making my home a welcoming place for others. I think these are invaluable books for any wife and mom and would make a lovely gift. Sally and her daughter write in a way that is easy to relate to and it's an enjoyable read. I highly recommend them to any woman who runs a home and family!

As a mother, there have been a few authors who have spoken deeply to my heart and soul and encouraged me to live intentionally and try for the best every day. Sally Clarkson is, by far, the best of these. Her books have a permanent spot in my morning devotion routine, because I find that I need a little encouragement every day to try and be a better Mama to my littles. Sally writes beautifully. Her books are full of real memories and moments that we can all relate to as mothers. She has the gift of encouragement, and it shines through in all of her books. I can't read a page of any of her books without feel uplifted and like I can persevere on this journey with hope and grace to cover my faults. She inspires me to live in a way that will leave a legacy for my children and their children. She constantly reminds me not to be discouraged with the repetition of daily life and child training, but to take the moments and the days and the years and make them beautiful. Her books are invaluable!

This book was very encouraging in my role as a Christian homemaker. Clarkson writes in such a descriptive way and I love her view of life.

I absolutely love this book. Yes it’s a little idealistic. But the ideas, the reasons, the encouragements provided in these pages are so lovely and inspiring.

This book will change the way you view home making and in turn will change you. One of my absolute favorite authors. 10/10 recommend!

Highly recommend anything by the Clarkson family if you want to enjoy a rich family life with a solid faith base. This book is wonderful for encouraging you to enjoy and celebrate each season of the year. A great gift to give or to keep for yourself.

Really easy Journaling book. Great for anyone that wants to journal but don't know where to start. I would recommend to everyone.

This is a nice companion book to go along with The LifeGiving Home. It contains a short reading for each month of the year followed by questions to guide you through the chapters (also in months) and concepts in the main book. It gives you a place to list important people, dates, and events for each month. There are also suggestions for books and movies to share as a family for each month. Certainly worth purchasing especially if you enjoy the book and need a good place to start your journey!
