Schwalbe Bicycle Tire Levers, Blue, 2.4 x 0.4 x 3.9 inches

I have a bike with 622 sunrims, and I wanted to replace my existing tubes and tires. I bought Continental 700 x 23 tires, and appropriate tubes. Using fairly standard levers, it was easy to remove the existing items. But I fought for 45 minutes trying to get the new tire on (just one side). When I'd done that, it was easy enough to install the inner tube, partially inflated. But putting on the second bead of the tire was very frustrating. It was easy enough to put on about 80% of the tire, but then the remaining 20% was very tight. As I tried to lever the part of the tire at my right hand, it would flip into place, and I'd be happy, only to see that the previously installed bead on the left side had peeled away. Basically, the part of the bead that was still not in place, was moving around the tire as I tried to put it on. So I bought these Schwalbe tire levers. They are fantastic. Their main advantage is that they have a central clip that allows you to leave one of them in place, acting as a third hand, when you're installing the tire. So, as you work your way around the tire, you no longer displace the already installed bead, because the lever is holding it in place. A job that took more than an hour, and was frustrating, now takes 10 minutes, and is a pleasure.

These are flat out the best tire levers I've ever used. I can see where it would be possible to break these if you really tried on a particularly difficult tire, but you're exerting too much force if these break. The bead position needs to be adjusted. Less force and more fiddling with the tire. Work smarter, not harder. The tip design on these tire levers seems optimal. The tips are thin and the perfect shape to get where they need to be and do what they need to do, and they won't gouge a tube. Very ergonomic. These are the tire levers I use when wrenching on my bike at home, but they're also light enough and very compact so I can enjoy optimal tire removal and mounting on the side of the road if needed. These Schwalbe tire levers made the mounting of a Schwalbe Marathon Plus tire on the rear wheel of my old mountain bike converted into an electric bike a joy. I've recently developed an appreciation for all things Schwalbe!

These little levers are wonderful and make changing tubes an easy task. The job I specifically got them for was changing out the wheel (which was bent). Naturally, I wanted to ensure that the tube did not get punctured in the process, and I must say that these levers delivered. Not only was the tube not punctured or damaged in any way, but the whole process went even more smoothly than I had anticipated. Using three levers (as opposed to two) makes the job much easier and quicker, and the fact that they are plastic reduces the chance of damaging your tube or wheel. These Schwalbe levers feel very strong and durable, and I don't anticipate having the replace them (maybe ever). I love the fact that they snap together, which reduces the risk of losing one and conveniently saves space. Overall, a great buy!

Finally had to use them in the field, two times in last two weeks! Worked well, these tires on my rims were super hard to mount. Removing bead was as easy (or hard) as other levers ive used. Notch to hook onto spoke works well. The great part of these levers is when installing tight beads. The reverse end has a clip the clicks onto bead that holds the bead in place as you work the head from the other side. Comes with three levers, only needed to use two. Flat profile packs compact, however they do not click together.

Holy Tintinnabulation, Batman! These levers are absolute life savers. So I spent about a week and purchased about 3-4 different levers to help me put on the world's tightest tire on the world's tightest wheelset. Sufficie it to say, I was feeling a bit deflated after these failed attempts. But there is hope for those trying to fit the Continental 5000 TL on a tight wheelset. These are your levers!! Some reviewers commented that these act like the third hand. That's incredibly accurate. Once I got these puppies, I played around with them a bit to see how to use them and I had that tight SOB on there in seconds - using all three levers. I flanked the tight section with two levers and pried the remaining lever under the Kevlar bead and BAM! On like Donkey Kong. I couldn't believe it. These levers truly reinflated my hopes of being able to ride tubeless with ease if ever a road repair need be made. The only thing is, I haven't quite mastered how to remove a tire with these, but I think a bit more practice and I'll get it. Even if I have to carry additional levers, I'm totally fine with it. Love these. Continental 5000 owners, look no further, you have arrived at the perfect lever. Now, regarding their durability. I did find they were a bit bendier than the traditional hard plastic levers, but I feel that adds a bit of allure to these as they don't feel like they'd damage your wheel or gash up your rim tape. The low profile definitely gives them the edge they need to sneak behind the bead and slip out without the risknof being pinched. I think they should hold up well over time, but that remains to be seen. If you simply just want the enlase of use for tire installation, I'd go this route. Hands down.

I previously destroyed a tire attempting to remove it using makeshift tools, so I decided to buy these levers. I was able to easily remove an extremely tight pair of beaded clincher style tires without causing any damage whatsoever. I particularly like the cutout on each lever for locking them onto the spokes, it frees up my hand and I can insert the next lever without it popping off. They're flexible, but seem to be made from very durable plastic. Great product, well worth it.
