Contigo Aria Autoseal Stainless Steel Travel Mug, 300 ml - Blue

I ordered 2 of these Contigo Aria travel mugs, the largest 600ml one and the smallest 300ml one. There wasn't much difference in price so I thought I was getting a bargain with the big one, but the truth is that it was too big for me - OK for the car on long journeys, or for a cold drink on a hot day, but too large for the daily train commute. The reason that the price is similar is that the mechanism is the same on all of them and the only difference is an inch or two more metal in the height.The smallest 300ml one is a great size for the daily commute and holds the same quantity of liquid as a regular domestic ceramic mug that you use in your home. You can put it in your bag in absolute confidence that it won't leak - these mugs are expensive but they are total quality.If you're wondering about the Contigo 'West Loop' mugs versus the 'Aria' mugs, these Aria ones have a lock on the valve. To be honest it's unlikely that you'd press the button by accident but it's nice to know when you put in your briefcase that you've minimized the risk.Other reviewers have mentioned that the drinks stay too hot - it's a fair point - but generally a good point surely! If you make a boiling hot fresh cup of tea this mug will keep it near boiling hot for about an hour, so the lesson is to leave it to cool for a few minutes before lidding it. I tested it inadvertantly this weekend by making a cup of tea and then forgetting it when I went out. So it was left in the cold kitchen for 3 hours, and upon my return the drink was still warm enough to enjoy.The only other point to note, and it's the same for any flask or travel mug, rinse out the mug and the lid mechanism as soon as you can after use because tea and coffee will eventually corrode or discolour it.I'm pleased with my purchase and am happy to recommend these mugs, especially the smallest 300ml one.

I bought a flask from a local shop and returned it because it was leak resistant not leak proof. What's the point of a flask which will leak when you carry it? This one is totally leakproof, holds heat well and can be drunk through the top when closed, by pressing the button. It also has a lock on the button, so it won't accidentally open when the button is pressed in a bag. I liked it they much they I later bought the larger version for longer journeys. 10/10 definitely recommend this one!

Doesn't leak, keeps hot drinks hot and no funny taste, it does exactly what i want!It's just a shame that this 300ml one costs more than the 475ml one, i paid £24 and the Contigo Autoseal Travel Mug (Silver) can be nabbed for as cheap as £16.99.Crazy world we live in when a product that uses less materials costs more.300ml one should be £12-£15 in my opinion but oh well.Update 7th August 2013 - Has started to leak now, so lasted a year.

I bought this mug as a gift having previously bought a larger one for myself. I wanted one of the locking mugs and thought from the description only the large one locked seems all the stainless steel ones lock oh and cost more.I would have got this one it's a more practical size to travel with.Doesn't leakKeeps hotIsn't some kind of dribble cupMain problem with the larger one anyway can be to hot to drink on my way to work

Great travel mug, I commute to london every day and enjoy a cup of coffee en route, £1.60/day from the station shop (yes i know thats actually pretty cheap) this mug has paid for itself in less than a month.I tried a few other cheaper units and found they all leak when you put them in your bag, this unit doesn't! Anyway up, the autoseal top remains leak free and is easy to drink from.

Just a brief review - nice product, looks good, feels very durable. Takes a little getting used to pressing a button before you drink but it's fine once you do get used to it. Only tried with coffee (for train journey) - I was also naturally suspicious that this thing would leak when horizontal (it didn't!)I opted for the 300ml rather than the 470ml after reading reviews and this size is perfect if you are want something that holds a "mug and a half of coffee" - anything larger would be unnecessary but I suppose that's just personal choice.Simple thing I like is the rubber ring at the bottom that stops the mug sliding around on table on the train.....thoroughly recommend it.

Great company - great product. I use mine almost everyday and feel quite lost without it. It really doesn't leak - which is amazing. I either cycle to the work or find myself running for buses - and it just doesn't happen. It is incredibly secure.It doesn't hold heat for hours and hours - but if you want to extent time head container before hand - really helps.

I dithered before buying, wondering if this would be too small for my needs. I didn't want a large flask to carry around. You get a cup and a half in this. That's enough for me, but might not be enough for some people. The drink stays hot. I like the lock on this model, so no spillage. The size is great to pop into a (large) handbag, which is what I wanted.
