Has great connectivity and really good audio.

I purchased this to compare to my Inrico mic. This mic is so very much worse. Something within the connection totally messes up Mic audio for this device as well as any others you may have. Sometimes the device will lock up and you cannot turn it off. Other times it just blinks. On the rare occasion that I did get it to function with Zello, mic audio lasted for 2 transmissions. I should have listened to others reviews...

I wish there was a button to reply last message or programmable buttons otherwise still getting used to it, like it so far. I would recommend it.

Not very satisfied with this mic. I have wired microphones that can pick up your voice very well outside. This HYS mic did a terrible job outside. I could not be heard. The top button on the mic seems cheap and sometimes does not click correctly when pressed. The other reviewers were also correct with the volume at startup/shut down, there is an obnoxiously loud voice that speaks when turning on/off the unit, and it cannot be adjusted. The receiving audio on the unit is bad, it sometimes cuts in/out at random times as well. I would not recommend.

It was a little tricky to connect to my iPhone, but once I got it connected, it worked well

Bought this product to pair with my phone for use with the zello app. After hooking everything up like the instructions said its sound quality was great wouldnt trade that for the world but you still have to have your phone near by as the mic that is picking up the audio is the mic on your phone.

Battery life is excellent. I’m getting three weeks of nominal usage before recharge. Mic audio quality is poor, on par with other similar units you’ll find on Amazon. Speaker audio is excellent. PTT button works as expected in Zello on both Android and iOS. This device uses a separate bluetoothLE signal for the PTT, and from testing I believe the mic audio is fed over LE as well. Using the mic as a mic doesn’t work too well if you’re more than several feet from the handset, but RX audio is great out for around 15 meters. I utilize the included headset connection with low cost coiled tube earpiece, also found here on Amazon, which is nice because the 2.5mm headphone connector is on the bottom, more protected from accidental element exposure compared to other similar units. The earpiece keeps audio in my ear versus blasting from my chest, which is useful working roadside where external noise can regularly overpower an open speaker. At my job, trucks are each assigned an android cell phone with Zello installed. This device can only remember its last pairing, so I have to re-pair two to three times a week as I move from shift to shift on my swing. Re-pairing is easy by long pressing the two middle buttons until the device powers off. On next boot it will be back in pairing mode which it is quite happy to quickly reconnect to other formerly paired devices by triggering a connection on the saved profile from those devices. Value for money I feel is poor, as I’m somewhat stuck from using this speaker mic as designed. The mic and PTT limitations have forced me to adapt to other processes. I have found a satisfactory medium by making sure to keep the cellular device on my person when out of the truck, using the mic from the cellular device for voice transmissions, and simply relying on this speaker mic as a speaker/earpiece for RX audio only. Overall, given the other available options on Amazon, I’m quite happy with this one and would happily recommend it to others should you have a need for Zello connectivity and are willing to live within its limits.

Long lasting battery (1 week of 8 hour shifts without a charge). Great input and output. Great buy.
