Fantastic Helmet!
Overall this is a awesome helmet. Of course I made my purchase in November in west Michigan so it's a little hard to judge the ventilation, but I have rode with it open and I can tell that it is better than my Shoei GT Air. I wear a size large and this fits great! I have one other modular helmet from another manufacturer and the the Neotec II is more comfortable and quite than that one. The appearance of the Metallic Anthracite is beautiful. This is the first helmet that I have owned without D rings and I have to play around with the adjustment a little as I seem to feel the buckle on my neck. If I were to have a complaint it would be that and the fact that it is on the pricey side, oh and that I have been looking at the Neotec II for several months and never see them on sale.

Worth every penny
I’ve just got back into motorcycle touring after about two decades off. I’ve had to balance saving money with spending money on the right things. I started with a $150 Bilt modular that was ok but is that really where you want to skimp? No it’s not and once I put this helmet on and rode with it, I knew I made the right choice. I ride in the PNW so fogging has been an issue but not with this helmet, the vents work extremely well. The fit is good but a bit snug around my face but the more I wear it the more it conforms with the shape of my head. This is a solid helmet and I recommend it.

Super comfortable, easy to use controls, pretty quiet for a modular helmet
Bought this helmet to replace a Nolan modular I have been wearing for 14 years. The padding just wore out on the Nolan so I bit the bullet and spent way more than I ever have on a helmet, and glad that I did. At six hundred beans this helmet ain't cheap, but since the regular price was eight beans, I think it's a deal. The release of the Neo III made everyone put the Neo II on sale. The padding is excellent, the chin strap ratchet is similar to the Nolan so I am comfortable with that feature. The drop down sunglass visor actually has a lever that can be reached and used while riding, as does the front vent. This helmet is WAY more quiet than my Nolan. Some reviewers say the weight of this helmet is more than they prefer, but I don't even notice it. The build quality and finish on the Shoei is simply superb. My hat size is 7-3/8 and the size large fits perfectly, just like their sizing chart suggests it would.

Excellent helmet but not easy to wire for Cardo Neotec 2.
Very hard to wire for Cardo Edge. Also hard to insert the left cheek pad. That said, the helmet fits perfectly and works as intended.

Shoei quality and very comfortable.
What's there to say. Shoei is the king of helmets and this model is high quality as well. It's very comfortable. I like the flip up and sunshade. Recommended.

Solved buffeting issues with other helmets
This helmet has solved wind buffeting issues I had with other helmets. I have had an LS2 Valiant modular helmet past 2 years that depending on the bike and fairing, gave me severe buffeting at highway speeds. So much so that I had sold one bike and purchased a BMW touring bike. 2 other bikes I steered away from highway use because of the buffeting. One bike that I had 2 different sized windshields had to use 2 different helmets (the LS2 or a Bell Vintage full face) Depending on which windshield I had. Read some magazine reviews on this SHOEI Neotec II and took the chance with it. It was like night and day. All the bikes I had, there was a noticeable improvement in comfort and stability. No more shaking which on a long ride can be grueling. Glad I spent the $$ on this one!
