It's says it is not but I have washed it many times on a gentle cycle and air dried - it has been fine - works great for my ankle

Q: I tore the ligaments in my ankle in 2012. Would this be a good support to keep my ankle stabilized while working my job for 9 hours on concrete floors

I think this brace could work well for you. I have a damaged (now surgically repaired) tendon and achilles tendonosis. This is my favorite brace and I wear it from the time I get up till I go to bed. The compression part of the brace is snug but comfortable and you can control how tight the wrapping is on top of the compression. The lift to the arch from the strap is so helpful for stability and comfort. I recommend this brace. It will be snug when new, trust the sizing info.
