Yes, could be thicker for MORE warmth but then it would be bulkier and less comfortable. The side Velcro is overkill. There's enough there to stop a freight train! Since the coat doesn't have the strain of a leash, it doesn't have to be that strong. That much Velcro is tough to peel apart, it actually hurts my hands. So I just never take them off! 😉I get compliments from everyone first seeing the coats. The dogs really love them. I put the harnesses on OVER the coat because the harness always comes off hours before the coats.

Nice coat, and our dog likes it. Actually fits the large chest of a standard poodle without being too loose around the neck! With less padding than I expected, I doubt it will be adequate for long walks in the snow. But for most chilly days and shorter walks it should be great.

I can’t believe how well made this coat is! Please be sure to measure your pup and use the sizing chart. My Westie usually takes a medium but this sizing chart said she should take a large. So I purchased the large. It fits her body perfectly. The end of the coat goes just past the top part of her tail. The neck seems to be a little big on her but I’d rather have it too big in the neck and fit her body perfectly. While I’m freezing waiting for her to get done she’s perfectly happy just looking around even with the cold wind blowing. So I’m assuming it must keep her nice and warm.I would absolutely purchase this coat again. It’s well worth the money.

My dog is not used to wearing clothes, so it will take some getting used to. Haven't used it in rain or snow yet. She is a short haired dog and has been shivering in the cold, so we wanted something for her to wear so she won't be too cold on walks. It fit perfectly and she looks adorable in it!

Returning the too big size for my dog was easy and convenient. Quickly I received the smaller one that fit my dog perfectly. ;Unlike other doggie jackets my pup has had before, this one she actually didn't mind at all putting it on and never tried to get it off. The harness space works well on walks and safely attaching to the car seat belt. I also loved their color peach as it is like not a color I see too much.

I got the purple weather coat for my puppy. She seems to love wearing it. It's been cold in the house as Fall is here and she's been wearing the coat inside the house as well and even at bedtime. When the sun finally comes out she will take a break from wearing it -- but it's there for her to keep her comfortable and warm as winter approaches!

I have a Doberman who is very cold natured. Once the temperature drops below 50* he is ready to stay indoors. I wanted a coat that was easy to clean, warm, & durable as my Doberman is an extremely active dog and loves to play in the dirt with the other dogs. So far, I have had no issues with cleaning this coat. I just throw the coat in the washing machine and dry in the dryer without issues. As far as fitment goes, I wish there had been one size above the largest size that I could have bought for him as the coat is snug on my dog. I am hoping that with time and usage, the coat will expand a little bit but it does fit him well for the most part. Seems like a good quality coat so far.

This is exactly as described. My dog uses this layered with a sweater underneath since it’s colder now. I like how it’s reversible and on the other side is a different color. It rained today and although it got wet, it dried pretty quickly. 10/10 recommend.

this dog coat is lovely and warm and snuggly, well made and of good quality, its quilted on the outer layer and fine fleece lined on the inside, it has a long zip slot along the back so it is easily adjusted for different harnesses and leads, the velcro fastenings are of a good length and are strong so that the fit adjustment is easy, it is stated that it is not waterproof but it would withstand a light rain or drizzle, great for cold and windy days though which is why i purchased it, i bought the medium size and its a lovely fit on my dog, great value for money and super speedy delivery time.the only downside would be the sizing of the coat, please be very careful when ordering your size of coat, i measured my dog three times and ordered the small size which is what the supplier measurements said i would need, it came and was too small for my dog (she is a jack russell terrier), so i have had to return it and re-ordered the medium size,that has now been delivered and it fits perfectly and she looks very smart in her coat and is happy to wear it, so ultimately i am happy with my purchase and that is why i have still given it a five star rating.

Bought 2 of these thinking they were good quality, the stitching started coming away from the velcro straight away, then after a few times of wear the velcro came away, also the collar is very big round the neck very unsafe if your dog likes the run through wooded area's, very disappointed especially as they are not cheap to buy but cheaply made

Really great coat with good fastenings. Handy to have the zip on the back to incorporate any harness type. Warm cosy and waterproof. I like the added bonus of reflective stripes too

Unfortunately I had to return this item as the sizing is far from accurate. I measured correctly and she came up as small although I knew that the back length was probably going to be shorter on her. I read the previous reviews most of which stated the sizing comes up small so I ordered a medium. This was slightly large around the neck, just fitted under her chest and was far too short along her back. So would have needed a large but I think that would then be far too big round her neck. She is a small boned, 8month old cockerpoo. However the product itself is very good quality. Quite disappointed really.

Delivered next day and well packaged. I ordered the Small for my 14 months old shihpoo diva after meaduring her. The coat fits her perfectly and is so easy to put on her, unlike others she had as a small pup when she turned into an octopus while I was trying to put her legs into them. This is perfect and if she grows any more I wouldn't hesitate to order the next size up.
