I too grew up with the Dodgers starting in the 70's. My dad being born in Brooklyn, meeting my mom in Pasadena... Born and raised true blue. Every summer at my grandparents meant at least 4times in the left field pavilion. This book brought back so many great memories. There's only one man who could write this. Thank you Houston Mitchell. This book is a nice collection of Dodger history told through anecdotes. I feel it is best suited for a casual fan who has a growing appreciation for the Dodgers. Or possibly a younger person just beginning to love the Dodgers.I am not a casual fan. I've loved and followed the Dodgers for a couple decades. This wasn't the book for me. I was hoping for stories that I hadn't heard before, and sadly I didn't get any of those. Keep in mind I am that guy at work that knows all the baseball stuff. I thought I'd be the target audience for a book like this. I wasn't looking for TMZ-style behind the scenes gossip (of which there is none, thankfully), but still was hoping for further insights into the team I faithfully follow.The book is written in a very easy to read style. It seems designed toward reading in small sessions, with an emphasis on bite-sized stories.

This is one of the most intriguing, interesting and well written books I have read in a long time. I feel like I know many of the players a lot better, I have a lot more respect for many of them. If you are a Dodger fan then you must absolutely buy this book and give some to friends as gifts. if you are not a big Dodger fan you will still enjoy reading about the players. Mr. Mitchell has done a great job. I hope he writes more.

Well written, especially for us long time dodger fans who remember the times but didn't know the story behind the story.

The book was shipped very quick and the content is amazing. My daughter and my husband love to read it together and they absolutely love the writing style and the information they learn about the team.

Full of many great stories,told by the people who lived them..

My husband loved this book! He's been a Dodger fan since the Brooklyn days and couldn't put the book down until he had read it straight through.
