Dell XPS Replacement Battery - Good so far!
This is the 3rd replacement battery (and 2 cooling fans) I have installed in my Dell XPS 13 9370. This PC is 5 years old. I used off brand batteries before so thought I'd try the Dell brand this time. It is almost twice as much money but so far seems to be a quality upgrade over the cheap brand X units. It has a nice Dell logo on it... It holds a good charge and gives good performace between charges. Only time will tell if it starts to fail. Brand x batteries start to fail when they take a full charge but drain down way too fast. I have a battery minder app on this PC that an report on battery health. The last brand x battery only lasted about 18 months with VERY light use. This PC is no longer my daily driver. I now use a Asus ROC PC for that. It has been great. Built like a tank. BTW Dell is withholding parts like fans from consumers, insisting on using only thier techs to install them. Some states are passing laws against this.

Plug and play
At first, I thought there was something wrong with the battery not holding a charge after I replaced it but I found out the charger went bad. It was probably time to change the battery anyways because it was starting to balloon. Thing works better than my original battery, just hope it lasts a while. It was simple to replace - someone who isn’t tech savvy could do it. I wanted to add that you will need a T5 Torx and a tiny Philips head screwdriver bit. You can find a set of them on Amazon for 10-15 bucks. Worth to have around for other appliances too.

Lasted less than 4 months
Battery only lasted just under 4 months. My laptop is already giving me an error message saying the battery needs to be replaced. Not worth the money if it stops working in less than 4 months.

Perfect fit
Perfect fit for my older Dell XPS 13 -- way better than purchasing new laptop!

You get what you buy
So far so good, will update this in a few months or earlier if something major happens. It's been like a just two weeks using my laptop with this battery. It matches exactly as the original one. I was wondering if I wasn't maybe throwing some bucks because there are other cheaper options out there, but I guess I just didn't want to risk myself and bought this one.Overall, works fine, my computer was turned off for a long time as this was my personal laptop and I was using the one for my job so, it took some minutes for it to recover, the battery was also disabled, but after I checked the Device manager, it worked out just fine.Depending of what you do, I'd say this battery lasts like 1 to 2 hours more than the one that came with the laptop.

Not a Dell OEM battery -- did not last
Despite the markings that are made to look like an original item, this is an aftermarket battery. The battery did install and work for a while, but then started to cause multiple errors (sometimes not charging, port errors, etc.). These issues went away after replacing with an OEM battery. I would urge spending the extra $30 to $50 to avoid future troubles.

Glad I went with the Genuine Product
I was really debating between paying a bit more for the genuine Dell battery and trying one of these third-party alternatives with good reviews. They were around 20-30 bucks cheaper and did have like 4.5+ star ratings so I probably would have been fine with those, but I ultimately decided the peace of mind of mind was worth 20-30 bucks, especially since I'll be using this every day for the next 2-3 years.Anyways, with the right tools and watching a youtube video tutorial, I was able to DIY it pretty easily in under 15 minutes - the part that took the longest was actually getting the back cover off - the actual battery installation is an absolute breeze compared to opening the laptop. I recommend you wear gloves for this because I cut lines into the tips of my finger trying to carefully pry off the back. The capacity arrived at 51,999 which is basically 100%. I went into Dell Power Management and set the laptop to stop charging at 85%, and automatically hibernate at 25%, so my battery capacity has basically not degraded at all. I don't really need to use this for more than 7 hours at a time, and I'd rather keep it in good health for the few times I will want to charge it to 100% and use it up entirely (maybe for flights, but for international flights, they usually have outlets anyway). It's also really satisfying to see in the battery report that my computer is using a recognized, Dell-genuine product, and that alone really made spending a little extra on this and going the low-risk way was entirely worth it.
