Solid, quality feel. Should have bought this a long time ago.

This set comes in a case that takes two steps to open, which is a good idea, given that it's pretty heavy and anything falling out has the potential to do damage to feet and flooring. You lift the catches, then push them back so that the top releases from the front and the case opens. The catches seem sturdy enough for now, but hubby commented on that he's not sure they'll last with the use this set will get. The case is especially solid, though, and well made; there's some weight to this, but the handle allows firm grip, even for the largest of hands, like my hubby's.It includes 16 sockets of size 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 24, 27, 30, 32 mm, 3 spark plug sockets of size 10, 12, 14 mm, a 72-tooth reversible ratchet with soft grip handle and “quick release" button, 2 extension bars of size 125, 250 mm, ’T’ bar adaptor 1/2" (F) x 3/8" (M), universal joint and ’T’ bar head/converter when used with extension bar forms a sliding ‘T’ bar. The one thing hubby wasn't so keen on is that the ratchet handle is made of smooth plastic, i.e. it's not got a rubbery touch to it that would allow better grip, and there are no grooves. Therefore, care needs to be taken with the ratchet part, as that in itself is heavy, even without the addition of sockets.Overall, hubby is delighted with this set, as he's a keen car enthusiast and over the years, various sockets/parts have gone missing as he doesn't have a proper carry case, just loose bits in a large (Draper) tool bag. The set is laid out with the socket sizes numbered, making it easy to see the part you want, and also, each part fits its space exactly, so no forcing a larger socket into a smaller space, making it idiot (and wife, i.e. me) proof. Often I get asked for something and bring him the wrong part, but with this, there's no room for error. The box must be opened with the base sitting flat, though, as the socket pieces simply sit in their spaces, they're not pushed into them and there's nothing to grip them in place, so the potential for them to fall out is there. The cover contains the fuse sockets and those *are* firmly anchored in place, and you have to pull and push to get them out and in, presumably because the box may be opened and the lid held up (it doesn't stay up, so would need to be anchored against a wall/solid object. Hubby is not too impressed with this, either).It's decent value for money, from a big name brand he's happy to trust, and overall, this is an excellent set of products for a reasonable price.

Well packaged 24 piece set from draper with the quality you would expect from such a company.The ratchet feels solid and comfortable in your hand when in use, the sockets connect on and off at the touch of a push button its really simple to use. Every product that comes with this set feels extreamly well made. If I had one niggle it would be the plastic switch to reverse the socket but unless it breaks I can't help but give this full marks.The hardend plastic case is packaged with the ratchet, 2 extentions and 16 piece sockets, T-bar adapter and universial joint.If you are looking for a quality socket set you won't go far wrong with Draper. Very well made metric socket set, covering the larger (10mm upwards) sockets as used by many cars. Includes three spark-plug removers.The quality of the pieces is excellent - vanadium steel with a satin finish. Comes in a tough plastic case giving a secure housing. The pieces are held securely to the ratchet, which is easily reversible (a lever to change direction), and a perfectly smooth quick release mechanism to add and remove the socket pieces.

Really solid, and works really well. Can take a lot of tension and i've got this set for use putting together a heavy duty steel shelving unit for the garage, no problems whatsoever, and even against the iodised steel none of the hex shapes buckled or misshaped. The Box is secure and handy for keeping all the pieces together, Draper are a reputable brand that i've happily used tools from before, and overall very pleased with the product. A worthy investment.

An excellent quality socket set...It contains six sided sockets and is really well made...The box is good quality and will last a long time...The usual draper quality and very strong and useful....
