Good filter at good price
The filter fits the Defender just fine and seems well constructed. The carbon filter has a gap top-to-bottom (less than 1/4") from the filter drum, but otherwise fits well. So far there are no complaints, only an observation that the white filter material is not as densely folded as the manufacturer original. (I'm not making a claim about effectiveness or quality, just an observation.) My Defender is nearly 10 years old I don't have money to purchase filters each year from the manufacturer, so this is a great alternative.

Perfect fit
We had not used our unit for a couple years because of lack of maintaining the filters. Decided the unit was worth keeping and purchased these filters for less than half of manufacturers price and they are a perfect fit.
