SWANSON TOSB01 Speed Bevel Folding Speed Square

Product is as advertised, except it was delivered without the black nut that goes on the end of the bolt. now im left having to find a nut to put on the bolt. Otherwise it works as described.

I bought this tool to replace my bevel angle tool. The thing I like best about it is that it's easy to use and because it's marked in degrees, once you find the angle for a cut you can set your saw for the exact same angle. making multiple cuts quick and exact. It also folds so that it doesn't take up much room in your tool pouch. I love this thing!

I am unable to get it to 90° after using the bevel function. Being uniting make a true 90° line it becomes a clumsy bevel gauge. This is the only Swanson product I don’t like, I have 2 aluminum “Speed Squares”, a plastic one and the little 4 & 1/2” cabinet square and would unequivocally recommend them.

Can't rate it until I try it. Can't try it because it didn't come with the tightening knob. Not worth the hassle to return it. Probably have to improvise. I contacted Swanson about it. I'll wait and see.

Great square with multiple configuration options.

Its a great concept and a very cool design, but unfortunately it is not truly square. I bought this because I was looking for a compact speed square. It IS pretty compact, but speed and accuracy go out the window with this tool when you have to double check and redraw every line you make. The space that this folding tool saves is not worth the problems it creates. I often opt to still keep my metal non-folding speed square with me because I know I can trust it.

For this price, it's not too bad.

Great little tool for wood work.

It's a great idea but poorly executed. It is not a true 90° and will never be. The only way this has a chance of working is if it where mad from metal.
