XP Deus LCD Remote Control Display (Includes Audio Speaker)

I'm a seasoned detectorist, I own 5 detectors right now,and have owned propbably over 30 diff styles and models since I started. So I'm not a rookie by any means so here what I found with this unit. It's an o.e. control box so it is what it is from X.P. I alsway use my headphones with my control box. But my niece wanted to learn how to detect with me so I wanted her to hear the tones and sounds to help explain to her. So It needed to be updated when I received it from Amazon,which I did. After it was completed I threw on my xp back phones and away I went worked flawlessly. My favorite detector to date, ( I TRYING TO GET MY HANDS ON A MINELAB EXCALIBUR II to review). And I highly recommend the xp deus for anyone or deus lite or ORX for newbies, but veterans should all have this unit in thier arsenal for sure.. but any way almost a year goes by and my niece wants to learn. So I figure I'd put it in speaker so j could explain sounds and tones to here. Well would have been nice if the speaker worked. I tried everything including repeating the update but nothing this control box won't make a peep when speaker is selected. ( For the record it did work prior to the update 100% sure and I have a few other detectorist that were there when I first got it and can vouch for me it was working... But none the less my fault I didn't check every option after the update to make sure it worked so I not all blame is on them.. but I was told I would have to return it to XP DEUS HEADQUARTERS TO HAVE it repaired, I didn't price it out. But between shipping and what ever they gonna charge for a speaker and labor I'm guessing will prob be the same if not more the a new controller.. So I am very unhappy with the customer service. Due the fact how much one controller box cost and I believe it wasn't even a year after purchase that it had a major issue and I could not get any help unless I wanted to pay. This control box has never been wet, used in the rain, dropped, kicked or mistreated it's always kept in protective housing to. So I love my XP DEUS for sure but after spending this much for a new controller and the 11 in coil, puck adapter for mounting and headphone adapter to just be told sorry it's on you, making me really consider that ones this detector is dead I will not be buying any xp equipment in the future. Any one can go get a top of the line detector for what this controller alone cost or 2 intermediate detectors for the same price. Don't expect top of the line service for top of the line prices. Which pains me to say cause again this is by far my FAVORITE detector ive ever used. But I'm more a customer satisfaction kind of guy. Cause they are who keeps you going and who reviews your product...
