Large capacity but not very effective at pressing.
Pros:Fix even the largest cloves of garlic.Easy to clean.Cons:Only crushes and processes about 50% of the clove. This press will fit even the largest cloves of garlic, the only ones I've had to cut up our elephant garlic. It's also easy to clean because the holes in it are large and it has the attached plastic piece that pushes the extra garlic out of those holes. What I dislike about it is that the handle design is seriously flawed. It's not a matter of having enough hand strength. The problem is the end of the handle is flexible and thence to the point where they knocked together long before all of the garlic is pushed through the holes. Not only that there is a gap between the male and female components near the handle where a lot of material Gathers. About 50% of the clove has to be scraped out of the press and then cut up with a knife or spatula.

Sturdy!
Product arrived on time with no damages. Initially, I was worried that I’d need help to press garlic because of the photos. I was tempted to fill the large well completely to get it all done at once.I took photos to compare size, amount pressed and the result. Honestly, I’m impressed with the sturdiness and ease of cleaning and the fact that it likely won’t chip (will update if it does). That gets a 5.When I literally pressed using my old press and this item, I got about the same result. With the new press, I feel I got more liquid and less pulp than using my smaller, older press whose paint had chipped from the interior of the well with six uses. Ease if use gets a 2. It does take more muscle than the smaller, less expensive press, so overall, I’ll give it a 3.5...which of course, I can’t. Erring on the side of generosity, I’ll rate it as a 4 for now.I paid $19.95 for the larger press and approximately $6 for the older one.I’ll use it a few more times in case I feel need to return it with the return window. I really want to like it and will update this review later in the month.Stay tuned if you’re still on the fence. But don’t worry, I use A LOT of garlic. 😂

Shoddy Construction, High Capacity
Pros:The crushing chamber is large and easy to clean.Cons:The metal in the handles of this garlic crusher is less robust than a large garlic clove. While trying to crush some garlic -- the one thing I expected this product to do -- one handle sheared off. I had purchased this product no more than a month prior. At that point I was comfortable pulling the rubber cover off the other handle, which confirmed my suspicions that the handles are *mostly* rubber, which made it challenging to use even before it died. The handles would flex, making it a challenge to crush the cloves and nearly impossible to push the last bits of garlic out of the holes. If you have a large amount of cotton candy or similar that wants for crushing, this will do fine.Otherwise, don't waste your money here.

useless
this thing does not have enough leverage strength due to its design probably. It does not squeeze anything only mushing. mushed garlic stays inside without coming out from the holes. planning to throw it away since there is no original package to return it. absolute and utter waste of money

Simply put, it does not work very well
I had a similar, though smaller one for years that worked great but finally gave out. Pictures of this one looked similar and I was happy to see it. Unfortunately, it does not work very well. Mashed the garlic but very little was extruded. Had to remove mashed garlic from inside box and cut up with a knife. Would return it if still had box it came in. Will throw it as it is more work than just using a flat knife to mash the garlic clove and cut it up. The sellers of this thing had to know its limitations, but went ahead and are selling it on Amazon anyway. Now Amazon knows it does not work and should eliminate its listing on its site.

Needs lots of hand strength
Handles are 2/3" too short. The sizable ~1/2" fresh garlic cloves don't get fully processed (extruded) thru the mesh (all skin is removed). Seems to be squeezing into "juice", more than extruding the solids.Possibly opening the hole diameters of the mesh can cure that. Something's just a bit off.Seems a very well made press, overall.Handles are rubberized and are sold. But still not long enough to provide sufficient force over the larger extrusion area of this bigger volume press. End up using two hands and pushing whole arm & pectorals to get still limited success.Looks great, excellent shine from surface coatings. It is not capable of handling fresh tumeric root.

Doesn’t work :(
Unfortunately this thing just doesn’t work! I was so excited about it because the design seemingly makes sense but there’s too much space between the slots and the mallet so the garlic just gets mashed inside and doesn’t release through the holes. So you just end up with a really sad piece of garlic that you end up having to cut up anyway :( it’s also a lot bigger and heavier than anticipated.

Works alright but not as well as advertised.
Overall this works alright for the job its required to do. The size of compartment for the garlic looks quite large but due to the actual shape of the press, only about 1/3 to 1/2 of it is useful to press garlic through. The two halves have quite a bit more play between them compared to other garlic presses I've used which causes undressed garlic to want to squeeze up through spaces you don't want it to. The handles are comfortable in the hand but may be a little much to use in a single hand for those with smaller hands. The little tool on the back to clear the holes of the press works well enough and makes cleaning the press slightly easier. Overall seems maybe a little cheaply built and designed without much testing but they do claim to have a 10 year warranty. I haven't had to test the validity of that warranty but certainly a bonus if its true. For the price, it certainly fits the needs of someone looking for a garlic press thats easier to clean but I personally would probably look at buying a slightly more pricey option in the future.

Doesn't work and breaks after minimal use
Broke after only three months. It hardly worked while using it, I would always have to dig out the remaining half a clove that it didn't crush and hand chop it. We barely used it, cared for it well and it had ZERO durability. Don't waste your money on this product!!!

Does not work. Disappointed.
I do not love this product at all. At best, it "juices" the garlic. Nothing comes out of the press but liquid. I've tried it a few times now to make sure it wasn't "user error", and it just doesn't work. I end up scraping out the squished garlic, and just chopping it up by hand. Zero stars was not an option, that's why it gets one.

Broken on first use.
If I could give it 0 stars I would. It broke within the first use. The handle snapped entirely off on the first press of garlic. The dollar store sells ones far superior for $1.25.This was not worth the money and I would NOT recommend it.

Waste of money
Feels solid but is the most useless garlic press I have ever owned. When a garlic clove is pressed after peeling it, only 25% of the clove can be squeezed through and the rest is just mush in between the two plates. I’ve been trying to use it but am officially giving up and purchasing another brand. Very disappointed and such a waste of money.
