A NEW MACHINE PART 2 Review: Same old Floyd Same old show re mixed - Well to start this makes a change to finally have the full show released on album for the first time but at same time not so lucky as the track money has the famous bass solo edited out which was present on the old orig version of show which was released years back on cd. I only state money is cut so far as i am not aware of what else is cut so far listening i cant tell that much. The Sound quality on the remix album is brilliant and to also have the deluxe set contain the full well almost full show in concert on blu ray hd for first time ever was wonderful and completley different to the old vhs from back in the day much cleaner new angles and much higher quality scanned from negatives. The set also contains missing tracks added as bonus to blu ray but yet misses out on welcome to the machine footage again. The set also contains again ull show on dvd aswell and to top it off some nice post cards. For the price of the set its worth it as would cost much more alone for blu ray along with cd or dvd option. Pretty enjoyable and think its worth price as a big floyd fan that could fork out on later years set. Only downside was it would have been also good if they could have added the remixed momentary lapse of reason album along with this set as its not and only in bigger box set. Review: PiNK fLOYD DSOT Box Set Review - This is the Full Fat Version recorded some 32 years ago. Wow The Quality Of this Remaster + Sound in DTS HD The band were on form, Having toured for over 2 years top of their game very tight plus Backing Singers the best especially Rachel Fury , Tracks Missing Welcome to the machine and Another Brick which are both on the CD Remix. DSOT. I have to say as a Floyd Purist Delicate Sound has a Darker feel than The1994 Division Bell Tour Pulse which i saw live in 1994. Hopefully that will be available as a stand alone next year 4k please. To sum up The De-luxe Box Set Worth purchasing for the additional tracks From Momentary Lapse .+ 40 page booklet etc.

Unbelievable picture on 4K oled
I’ll admit when this came out I watched in blu ray and was quite disappointed with lots of graining , in fact it looked no better than my video back in 88 but having recently bought the new lg oled and watched through my ps5 it looks stunning ! The blacks are black there’s no graining , colours are fantastic and it looks like it’s only just been filmed ! Would only give it 3 stars if I wasn’t watching this on a normal tv and blu ray

Classic later period Floyd.
A classic Pink Floyd live set. If you are craving for a little more Floyd to add to your collection, this is one to go for. What you'd expect from a latter period PF live show, all the classics. Remastered into a beautifully produced box set. I haven't got around to watching the DVDs yet, but the audios are great on their own. If you like Pulse, you'll be okay with this.

Classic Floyd
I love the fact this has been released on blu ray. I have always loved DSOT, would have loved the original release to have been put in alongside this new version. Time for the standalone Pulse version which was not filmed on 35mm film and so far is only available in The Later Years box set. This is well recommended to all Floyd fans

Oh the memories
I had this on VHS years ago and the memories come flooding back. Point to note that it's a different mix to the CD and did catch me out, especially Money, which has been chopped. But the concert footage is ALOT better and Dave especially looks like he's enjoying himself. Excellent. (fingers crossed they release Pulse in the same format)

Great for the Pink Floyd collection!
After some deliberation, I elected to pass on getting The Later Years box set (which is where this remaster was first released) for three primary reasons. Reason number one: The content just didn't seem as exciting as that which is featured on The Early Years set. Reason number two: For what's included on The Later Years, it is SO overpriced! This was probably the biggest factor in my decision, when I got The Early Years it was with pocket money I was able to save whilst living at home. Now I live in my own flat and have to pay for bills, food etc. So I just don't really have the capacity to fork out £300 right now! Reason number three: They just released the Delicate Sound of Thunder remaster included on The Later Years separately so might as well go for that instead. (I am hoping they'll release the remaster of P.U.L.S.E on its own too!) One of the few Pink Floyd concerts to be released on home media in its entirety as I understand it, and this looked like a good one to witness! (Even if it's mainly in service of one of Floyd's lesser albums) I'm more of a DVD guy but this does look AWESOME on Blu-Ray. The event on CD also sounds really excellent. The highlights for me are the performances of Terminal Frost, The Great Gig In The Sky, Us And Them, Comfortably Numb and Run Like Hell. The booklet and postcards are charming additions to the box set and I must admit I do like the poster it comes with too. Generally this is in my humble opinion a really solid scale up of Delicate Sound of Thunder and think it's a great item for any Pink Floyd fan to have in their arsenal.

The Mutt’s Nuts
Had the double album, cd and VHS for years. The VHS perished. To have it all on Blu-ray, DVD and cd is the dog’s, especially with the extras. A great buy for a Floyd fan 😄

Have loved Pink Floyd since Animals was released. Bought that album, then their back catalogue, then their new albums as they released them. All except the The Piper at the Gates of Dawn and AMLOR in original issue vinyl ( on CD because I couldn't find it in a record store on vinyl, given AMLOR on cassette (birthday present)) , with The Division Bell and The Endless River as released on CD. Pink Floyd sounds like Pink Floyd whether with or without Syd or Roger. Every album is different and takes you places and yet is a Pink Floyd experience! There are other Pink Floyd collections, sets, etc., I just cannot afford/justify purchasing everything so I am selective in what I buy. Didn't get to see them in person but this is good, real good. Gilmour's voice and guitar, with Mason and Wright. Recommend well worth your money.

This is a really great set of cds, dvd and bluray. Bringing back the memories of an amazing Pink Floyd tour in the 80s. The booklet that comes with is nice, but just photos and no naratives from the band.
