Very good product
I think this product is a very good value for my needs. I dont use it very often. Had a couple of projects i used it every day for a few weeks but otherwise once a month or longer. It is a good quality built tool. I read a lot of reviews on different scalers and alot of them said they set up after a use or two. I have oiled the hammer and needles a few times just out of preventive maintenance but no issues. Just like anything else if you just abuse it and dont take care of it you will be disappointed in its performance.

Commercial feel, solid product, works GREAT
This thing is awesome. Was going to buy one from Harbor Freight but this one was a couple bucks more so I pulled the trigger on it. Glad I did. My 10 gallon compressor runs it continuously no problem. Made quick work of descaling the metal floor joists of a very rusty 1993 3 horse slant trailer. It gets rust up with ease. I'm down to bare metal and very happy. This scaler is solid and very well constructed. The production feels industrial. Solid steel construction, good needles, no leaking straight out of the box. Just added a little oil and went to work. Just add a few drops of oil every 2 or 3 hours of constant running and it does great.

Not sure if it was the product or me thinking it would last on military grade air
As soon as I hooked it to my sub air supply and tried to use it after oiling it, it immediately broke on contact. I was told it was due to the power of my air supply.

One-Handed Efficiency
This mini chipper is as powerful as older 2 handed beast I was using to remove the paint from my sports car’s transaxle. With a few modifications, it easily dug deep into the pockets of the cast aluminum part, leaving a shiny paint and gunk-free surface. My modifications were removing all but 3 rods, added a rubber collar to reduce flailing and heat shrink tubing to tame the aggravating safety. I also added a flexible hose link allowing the tool to handle like a paint brush. Never thought I’d be ready to paint this quick. With one hand to hold the tool, one hand to fine-tune and guide the rods, this incredible, human size tool made this a fun job.

Didn't work right out of the box - Needed repair
Right out of the box, this would only blow air with the trigger pulled. I had to take it apart and make it work. Here's what I found wrong with mine:The o-ring for the trigger spring was installed incorrectly and destroyed by the threads. I took that apart, lubed it up and replaced the o-ring with a new one.The piston was bone dry and seized in the bore. I tapped it out with a drift, polished it with some 0000 steel wool, and then liberally oiled it with engine oil.The piston end cap has a rubber cushion on it. The end cap was installed backward. I took it out, turned it around and lubed it and the cushion with engine oil. After all that, it worked. I've used it only for about an hour but its still working fine and does a fairly good job removing thicker scaly rust. I'm using it to clean up a frame and remove scale from a rear axle. So far, so good. There are lots of positive reviews for this so maybe my experience is unique. But it doesn't seem there is much quality control with these. If you do get one that doesn't work, take it apart and check the o-rings, the piston and the piston end-cap. I'll bet you find one installed incorrectly.
