This thing works great. The base is heavy enough, it fits a 16oz cone of thread nicely and it’s well made for what it’s supposed to do. Some reviewers had trouble screwing it together. I’m sure they forced it and didn’t let the threads mesh like they are designed to do. This took all of 45 seconds to put together and the posts are tight.

It is much sturdier than expected- but confusing to put together-- the two longer pieces- one with hook and one with nut-- go together because the short piece has a smooth top to slide thread on and goes in the middle--does NOT go thru to require a nut and longer piece does NOT GO THRU BASE either-- thus my recommendation is to throw the nut away- then assembly makes sense- Mark took it apart and tried it every way- then assembled like the picture on the site. I am pleased- does not wobble, and works better than expected after reading the other reviews.

With thread being so expensive and no fabric store in our small town offering guetterman thread, all I have is a big box store with their knock off thread, and with that I am going to use my serger thread! Like the value of the stand, tall enough, stable and the metal pole is smooth. Highly recommend.

Aluminum or other non magnetic metal. Lighter than expected but ok. I prefer the heavier metal such as cast iron where magnets will work. The lighter weight stands move too easily. No to plastic stands.

It’s well made and very sturdy I’m very happy I ordered it.

I like big spools but my older sewing machine doesn’t support them. This solves that problem. Easy to use easy to put together. Nice product for me.

This has been a game changer for me and my sewing journey. My Husband bought me multiple reels of cotton thread that were designed to be used with an overlocker, this stand has meant that I'm much more easily able to use this thread with my sewing machine. The stand was easy to assemble and deconstructs just as easily for storage or transportation.

I was worried this might be too lightweight and fall over all the time. DIdn't have to worry. All metal, including the base, and it stays where I put it.

This works well I wish they made something that you could attach to your sewing machine I have a limited amount of space the bottom is heavy enough so it doesn’t tip over to easily just saying 😊🇨🇦
