Extra life and longevity for your kettle grill. 👏
My Weber kettle grill finally needed these replaced as they had succumbed to rust even with extra care for protection from the elements but they lasted almost 20 years. That being said, they had the older design of being held in place via bolt and screw... which ended up fusing together over the years. Initially, seeing the design made me wonder if it was indeed compatible with my long-lived 22" kettle (without the ash basket, it has only the dish ash catcher) but it definitely is completely compatible. The design is a much welcomed improvement from the original screw and bolt locked method to secure these! There's a little bit of a trick to the install if one doesn't have an extra set of hands to hold on place or if installing solo - a longer set of arms. This new method of securing the pieces together fits extremely well but since they're a bit springy, they will resist staying in place without slightly splitting enough pressure to lock everything in place on the underside with the handle which is very simple to do but can be tricky if one has a shorter reach since both ends need to be tended during install but super quick install. Honestly, having to remove the original was far, far more time consuming, requiring much more effort since use a cutoff disc in my drill for the fused original old fasteners. The metal is lightweight to allow for the sm flexibility required to give a tight seal for cleaning away the charcoal ash, sweeping it into the catcher which it does well so, it should do a fine job keeping the inside cleaner. The updated locking method is incredible efficient, no more screws or bolts, no more extra washers! All in all, a right banger of a job from the design team in revamping this important kit for Weber kettle grills. Excellent job, crew.

Fits Weber Perfectly and is Sturdy
I installed this over two months ago and used my grill about six times. The Weber cleaning system fit my Weber perfectly and has functioned well. The installation instructions were easy to follow.

Expensive for what it is, but it works
This works if you need to replace your one touch blades for your Weber 22-inch kettle grill. My old blades was warped and so it was allowing a lot of air on the bottom and not completely sitting flush to the kettle, thus making it harder to control temps. This was a semi-easy install, but you will need to keep in mind a few things. 1. Removing the old parts may be a pain, depending on how old or rusted on it is. The instructions have no words, just pictures, and it shows you can remove the old part with just a screwdriver. For my case, this worked, but it took a lot of fighting with it and manhandling it. I had to spray with WD-40 as well. Your mileage may vary, some Youtube videos show them sawing it off with powertools. 2. Be mindful of the pictures. Following the instructions as follows, you will run into a step that shows you will need to position Blade "1" facing the front where the handle goes into. Well, this is incorrect as you will not be able to insert the rod into the slot as the slot with the notch is on the opposite side. For my case, I had to position Blade "2" facing the front where you insert the handle. Not sure if this makes any difference, but it seems to work ok like this. 3. After struggling with getting the blades in place and disassembling/reassembling the blades a few times because of the wrong instructions, I think I damaged the part where the handle is supposed to lock in place when you rotate it. For me, it doesn't lock in place and kinda just turns and turns now. Not ideal, but it still works. EDIT: I finally got the handle to lock in place, the problem was caused due to an error on my part. I had the "H" washer in the wrong position, it needed to go under the kettle. It now locks in place and works fine! So, all in all it works and is better than having warped old blades. The metal seems cheap and flimsy and seems expensive for 18.99 which is what I paid. Still better than having to buy a new grill, so cheers.

Seems Solid - Easy Installation
After 10 or so years, I needed to replace the original cleaning system, I ordered these genuine replacement parts. Getting the old cleaning system out was the most difficult part of the process (the pictograph instructions were not particularly helpful). The new set was easy to assemble and install (but a third hand or a helper would ease the process). The blades are of a reasonable gauge and seem sturdy. The angle fits the bowl of the grill perfectly.

Lube very well for two days before trying to take apart.
Worked great on my 18yr old Webber performer. The old ones had rusted and were very hard to turn. I di prep it for two days with a penetrating oil heavily as it was rusted well and that made the process simple and easy with a big flat head screwdriver to get it apart with a couple of gentle taps.

OK, guys & girls, here's the story!
Short and sweet! I was married in June of '86. You do the math, but importantly, we received a 22 1/2" Weber Kettle as a wedding present, best ever! To this day, still presentable and casually preparing some of the most delicious meals this side of the Pecos! Durable, yah! and capable of growing with your proficiency, no matter how masterful your experience level becomes! To the point, it fits perfectly and is a "Nothing install", as long as you have an angel🤣 grinder with a cut-off wheel or comparable tool. All those years...? just cut it off and the install is nothing. Of course, you'll have to scrape out the kettle, but you'll be back in action before your beer is finished! It fits the 22 1/2", guaranteed. That was my only concern. It's a Weber, what more does a man need to know!

Renew your Weber kettle grill
I bought my Weber Performer smoker/grill in 1994. It has performed magnificently over the years. In recent years the ash remover/ damper would not close due to ash, grease and rust. I finally decided to pursue a fix for the issue. The design of the new assembly was improved in my opinion and easier to remove way down the road! I had to use a rotary grinder to cut off the rusted nut and rod that opened and closed the damper. I did need a second person to help assemble the new parts. We needed to clean the inside of the bowl and also do some clean up on the bottom of the bowl. The new parts fit perfect and made the bottom damper close tightly like the original damper. I am good to go for a long time. I bought my first Weber product in 1968. It was a Weber Sequoia 24" cart grille. My current go to is a Big Green Egg XL. With a pit monitor I can set it for a 14 hour smoke and not worry about anything. Pork butts and brisket are possible even for the weekend warrior.
