I will not purchase again. While it was easier for me, my cat was not fond of them and tore routinely.

The kitty box is my nemesis. I have litter-ally tried everything. I also have one of the automatic self-cleaning litter boxes, so when I say I like these with my normal box, it's a surprise.So here's my set up. I use a medium/large regular covered box with a swing door. Then I place a N.M. brand disposable litter box (size Regular) inside that and sprinkle a touch of baking soda at the bottom for moisture absorption and then just 2 of these whisker city large cat sifting bags over both the disposable and regular box and fill it up with light-weight litter.(I have 2 large cats - one is 17 years and pees a lot as his kidneys are starting to go.) These come in 2 packs of 10 bags together. I have found that when you put all 10 bags together, it'll eventually start to smell, b/c the litter or pee will go through the bags eventually (about bag 5-ish) or if they ALWAYS go only in one corner, etc. So you may need to experiment depending on your cat's 'style'. This is what works best for us. I do take a peek at this box daily, just to confirm. About every 3-4 days, I will take a 'layer' off. So day 4ish, I take the top bag off. Then day 8 I'll take the second bag off. Then day 12 I toss out the disposable litter box and replace it with my next set of the same 'set-up'. I get the Whisker City Sifting Litter Box Bags and the Disposable Litter Boxes on Amazon's automatic shipping. (which I love!) When I get everything, I go through the packages and set up these sets with a disposable box paired with 2 of the bags and then stack them inside each other. They pile up nicely and I store the litter on top. At first it seems like it would be expensive. However, when you see the bags come in packs of 20 and then boxes come in packs of 3 and I'm not dealing with the smell and not having to scoop anything and clean up is a breeze, it's TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!! And I'm really only using 2-3 'sets' per month... Again, depending on how much my elder cat is drinking I have been changing it a bit more frequently as his needs have been changing, but I expect that.. (plus you could change them more frequently/daily depending on your own cats' needs.)Also, the easiest way for me to do the change, is I take my kitchen trash can over to the litter box when I'm taking out that trash, slightly lean the can towards the litter box so it just barely covers the edge of the litter box and basically just lift the bag into the can. Maybe the first two times I had a few crumbs of litter miss, but after you figure out what you're doing- not a drop of mess. Hope this review helps!

So my kids wanted a cat but guess who gets stuck cleaning its litter box? The task is gross. But this was a life saver. I am sure its not the best for the environment but this makes clean up a breeze. It's bit pricier than just scooping but to save the arguments and aggravation this really works for us. Our kitten doesn't tear these, so far, so maybe we are lucky. I am reordering!

I have been thinking of a way to make cleaning the litter box easier and I thought of a sifting mechanism and was going to create something before I saw this. While at a pet store I saw this on the shelf and thought I'd give it a try. It works extremely well and now we can clean up the litter every night in seconds. I just wish Amazon carried the x-large version.
