Black Mountain Products Single Stackable Resistance Band

This is the first review I write on Amazon and I have been using Amazon for years now. I purchased "Black Mountain Products Resistance Band Set with Door Anchor, Ankle Strap, Exercise Chart, and Resistance Band Carrying Case" In October of 2012. After three months of heavy use, "P90x program". The red band broke, the heaviest in the group. I called the customer service number and BMP replaced the band within three days. NO QUESTIONS ASKED, it was an incredibly easy process. I went on to break the red one again within a month I called again and once again NO ISSUE. During the conversation It was recommended that i needed heavier weight resistance. The guy included the heavier Orange band for FREE when he shipped the red band. I then purchased this Purple band. It has worked incredibly. The bands are legit, very durable I have used these bands pretty much every day for the last nine months. AND if you happen to break the band with "normal wear and tear" the staff at BMP is incredible and willing to work with you. NEED to know: this includes ONLY the band, I recommend getting the set it includes the lighter bands and the clips. You need the clips in order to use product. Great for programs like p90x and tapout Xtreme

Wow, this is an amazing band. When I first saw it, I thought the price steep at $20 for one band, no handles. But, I am wrong. If you have any BMP set--or any band set with removable handles--this will work. The construction is stout. It is very hard to pull this thing fully. The thickness is like a stout rope, and there are no blemishes, cuts, cracks or issues along the entire length. It's heavy, as in well-made. I truly love that the ends are extremely solid, which is reassuring as, if this thing ever gave way, one would be to the oral surgeon to have posts and caps for missing teeth. But, I have no sense of giving way. I am so very glad I bought this. From what I have read online, BMP is exceptional with customer service, so if I run into issues, I'll buzz them up; for now, no need. Exceptional product well worth the price for years of service. I've been using Black Mountain resistance bands for years, including this specific band. I always keep backups because all resistance bands will eventually snap. I had a replacement of this orange band ready to go when the one I had been using for a couple of years finally snapped. Now that's excellent quality, but the replacement band snapped after it was stretched only a few times. Ok, maybe it was defective, maybe it was because it was stored away for a couple of years. No bid geal. Bought another replacement. When I stretched it, just a decent amount, way less than I would be when using it to exercise, it snapped! One two year old band snapping on first use could be degrading in storage, or a fluke. But now? QUALITY CONTROL issue, obviously! UPDATE: Amazon allowed me to receive a replacement band without returning the defective one. I did so. Guess what. The replacement band again snapped during first use. Now I'll have to return this to get a refund (or should I try ANOTHER replacement? :) UPDATE: Emailed the company directly, not asking for any money back, just to let them know that they were manufacturing at least one of their bands defectively, and to fix the problem. Response: NONE!

Great product that adds additonal resistance bad to my Black Mountain kit

This band is good so far, does good. I have used a resistance band for exercise for several years now. I used a different brand and now trying this one. One thing to keep in mind when using bands, they will break eventually. I try and have a spare one on hand for when that happens. The resistance with these is different from what I am used to, in that these are stronger or the other brand was weaker than what it was rated as. I was using a 10lb rated band, ordered this brand in 8-12lb band it was heavier than I expected, could not use it. I will keep it though, never know might work up to it.

Great resistance bands. Good value and option to get the next level of strength up with out have to buy another set.

I really love these bands. I've been working my way up from orange for several weeks to get to purple + black. I thought the resistance would be about the same with this new atomic green band, but it was just a bit too much, so I switched to purple + red instead. This pairing feels really close. The band is well made, feels solid, and it'll be the ideal addition to maximize the set. I'd just like to know at what point I should start worrying whether my door frame could fail.

I am a fan of this companies products, unfortunately while I was very excited to receive this product it snapped after three uses, hitting ,e squarely in the center of the back (very lucky there was not an injury). Come to find out this particular band has issues with snapping. I am not sure why Black Mountain would continue to market these given the circumstances. Needless to say I do not endorse this product and will circ;e back depending how this issue is handled. ***UPDATE*** I really do enjoy Black Mountains product line. I called them today after going through the return process on Amazon, and they are sending me a replacement band for my trouble. I couldn't be happier with the results in spite of this issue, so I am upgrading to 5 stars.

Really awesome! Love it! I bought the large set of the other bands by bmp. Very happy. I am using them right now on my trip. No need to leave my fan to achieve a SOLID workout. Wish I took elastics seriously before!

I have used BMP resistance bands for my low impact workouts for about 4 years and have been very happy with the quality of the product. Over that time, I have pretty much worn out 2 kits of the 7 colour band sets (with 7 corresponding weight ratings) and the new bands have been very consistent in the resistance vs the old ones. I'm now replacing some individual bands to maintain a complete set. They are a good value for a varied weights program as they just need a small space with a few sturdy hooks on the wall and are also easily portable for use when travelling.
