Good dry patch
Yes. You need dry patches for your muzzle loader. These are the right ones. They are large enough for easy use, don’t leave strings or fibers, and set you up with a clean bore for your next load. Use them once, then flip it over and use it again. Each patch will let you swipe the bore twice.

Great patch and holds up while in use.
Must have for muzzeloading and you can get two swabs with 1 patch by flipping it over between use. Thick and don't fall apart.

50 cal. A must cleaning patch.
Works well in my 50 cal. But as we all know cleaning a muzzleloader takes forever. Patch after patch. So I would buy more than just one.
