Dorman 749-509 Front Passenger Side Power Window Regulator (Regulator Only) Compatible with Select Models (OE FIX)

This was a pain to install but it’s working fine on my 09 Caravan. I just replaced my drivers side a month ago, now the passenger side. I assume the rear windows will start breaking now. I’ll use this seller again

This was a perfect fit and not to bad of an install on a 2010 Chrysler town and country.

The product is of great Quality and was not that difficult to install overall it is worth the price.

The passenger window in my 2011 Grand Caravan suddenly stopped working. As in the motor would run, there would be a crunching sound and then the window would stop after opening a few inches. By process of elimination, I decided that the regulator had a problem.Now, based on prior ownership experience I wouldn't expect this to happen to a 3 year old van, but that's a review for another day. I decided that it couldn't be that hard to replace the regulator so I ordered one for a reasonable price. Firstly, let me say that while Chrysler made some nice improvements over the years to the Caravan, they did not make these changes with maintenance in mind. Accessing the existing regulator and installing a new one is not a straight-forward job. In place of the usual vapor barrier plastic behind the door panel, there is a hard plastic shell bolted to the door that you must partially remove and then try to reach behind to do the dirty work. The wiring harness and door lock prevent this panel from coming completely off without adding what would seem to be a lot more work.So I took out the old regulator (rather it fell out after some maneuvering) and saw a kink and fraying in the cable. My theory had been validated and I was now satisfied that my guess was correct. However, the part looked much different than the new regulator. The Dorman website shows a picture of the factory part as it comes new in the vehicle, not the replacement part that they ship in the box. The black plastic gear box is not mounted to the brace on the replacement regulator. In fact, you need to remove the gear box from the old regulator and reuse those bolts to mount the gear box to the brace on the new regulator. And by the way, there is no instruction manual or guidance to do this.So after much maneuvering, some off-color language and use of various household objects that I have never before used while working on my cars, I managed to get the new regulator screwed into the back of the plastic door panel and then dropped the window onto the clips. Working like new now. Hopefully never to be replaced again...

Installed and tested works good as expected

It lasted 2 years! I went with Dorman to replace the OEM regulator when it went out because of the low cost, but it didn't last as long as I hoped. The quality is just not there for a long term fix. If you don't want to spend alot and like to take apart your door alot, go with this one. If not, I suggest go with the Mopar original equipment one.

This was a direct fit to the OEM part, which made Install a breeze. The application was on a 2012 Chrysler Town & Country. No instructions came with it, so you may want to youtube it, if it is your first time replacing one.

I put this in my van in the Fall of last year 2021. Been using it now for 6 months flawlessly. Very happy with the replacement. I was a little apprehensive after reading a few other reviews on here. I would recommend this part. Update, we're into spring of 2023 and it's still going strong. If your looking to buy one, don't hesitate. Good product for the money.

It fits perfectly. Make sure you screw the beams into thr interior panel first then screw the motor to the centre pièce. Then plug in the power to the motor. Use the working mechanism to raise or lower the white window grabs to secure them to the window, through the speaker opening and the already exposed upper poke hole. Screw the interior panel to the door, and connect the door handle metal rod and done. Apply the door soon.
