Great sounding pickups and easy to install
I had a guitar back in the 1960s that had two P90s and recently I’ve been thinking it would be nice to try to recapture that sound. After looking at several and reading the reviews I decided to give these a try. It took a couple of weeks to get them but the wait was definitely worth it. I replaced the humbuckers in an old Ibanez black knight with these and the sound is exactly what I was hoping for. The neck pickup is warm and clear. The bridge pickup is punchy and sharp and has a tele sound, just perfect. Both pickups are clean and clear at low volume and develop plenty of drive with the volume up. As others have noted in their reviews, the sustain fills the room and lasts forever. Anyone wanting to do a humbucker to P90 swap, especially on a budget, should give these a try. They are super easy to install, and the fit was perfect in the Ibanez...even the pickguard holes were the right size. Great pickups at a great price!

Excellent Value
This is my first experience with a P90 pickup set so I can’t compare to other P90s. Do understand that a humbucker-profile P90 is a different beast than is a soap bar-profile P90.Installation is tricky. The pickups do not come with instructions. You have to investigate wiring diagrams on your own. This is not hard.My only installation complaint is that the lead on the neck pickup was only just long enough to make it from the pickup cavity to the spot for the closest potentiometer in my LP clone. This is the traditional spit for it to go but you don’t have any other options. The improvement in tone is breathtaking. Like I said, nothing to compare with but the pickups I replaced were not bottom of the barrel and the guy from whom I purchased the guitar said it compared favorably with his Gibson Les Paul R9 for tone. I really couldn’t get into the humbucker tone. I can’t put it down now.And for the price, it’s easy to justify the idea of just playing around with tones.

Quite a Bargain
Bought these to upgrade the pups in a Firefly 338. Figured for the cost and based on good reviews I had nothing to lose. Shipping from China took about 3 weeks so be aware of delay. They sound really good.... I've had P90s in the past and love the rich clear sound. Any differences with Gibson and Rivolta pups are subtle and more a matter of taste than quality. These have relatively strong output compared to many single coils. Pups seem well made and look great. I will agree with reviewers who found the leads a little short... the neck pup was a full stretch in a semi hollow style guitar and another inch or 2 would be helpful.A great deal and a perfect price-appropriate upgrade for a project guitar. After adding cheap upgraded bridge, jack, tuners and pups the Firefly has become one of my favorites to pick up and play.

Nice P90s, with great room filling sound
I installed these 2 P90s on a Telecaster to replace original single coil pickups, an upgrade mod project. Sound on these P90 humbuckers is amazing. The neck pickup has an ethereal warm, mellow and room filling tone. The bridge pickup is more acoustic but still cozy and balmy. The sustain is crazy long. Both have only one wire, core is hot wire, mid layer is black cloth jacket, exterior layer is braided ground shield. The outside layer must be pulled down the wire to leave only the black middle jacket exposed. If the outside braided ground touches a pod or any other ground inside control plate,it will short the circuit. Took 12 days to get them. probably shipped from overseas...most likely factory replicas of a more expensive P90 humbuckers like Seymour Duncans. I'm very happy with this purchase, got a great deal at a very low price.

Cheap upgrade for a cheap guitar.
Like others here I threw them in a dirt cheap Squier mustang that came with some truly awful humbuckers. There's some debate as to whether or not they're true P-90s but they are single coils, were easy to install and definitely improved the sound of the guitar. Sort of a dirty, twangy sound that's much more useful than the muddy deadness of the original equipment. It's no longer a guitar that rarely, if ever, gets picked up and played. Overall big improvement for a small investment of time and money.

Great Sounding P-90s
Wow, these P-90s sound great! Very well constructed, with Shielded Cloth Covered Wire and Wax Potted. I replaced the stock Humbuckers that came in my Squier Mustang with these P-90s. Replaced the Pickguard as well. The Mustang sounds totally different now. Neck Pickup sounds like a cross between a vintage Les Paul Special and a Strat. Bridge Pickup has plenty of Twang - between a Tele and a Gretsch. I'm very pleased with the quality and shipping was pretty fast considering they came from China. I highly recommend these pickups, and the LYWS. This is my second set of pickups from LYWS - the first set were Alincos, Strat Style. Both sets sound like $100 sets! I'm 68 and have been playing since age 13. Cheers!

Much better than expected!
A pair of P-90s for under $30? No way these can sound good, right? They actually are pretty damn good, and unbelievably good for the money. Put them into a partscaster squire wired so that bridge and neck can be on simultaneously and it came out great - a very fat strat.

Great Pickups With Short Leads
I put these in a Fretwire kit I put together. The original humbuckers that came with the kit were too muddy sounding and these sound fantastic, especially for the cost. My only complaint is the leads on these pickups are too short and made installation more of a pain than usual. Great value!
