Spring Stinks-A Little Bruce Book (Mother Bruce Series)

Yes this book is physically smaller, yes the text is shorter. Bruce’s temperament has not changed a bit, and the illustrations are everything we expect.This book is a Little Bruce Book. Perfect for small hands and younger Bruce enthusiasts. Many folks seemed to have missed that aspect, and in all fairness it’s not pasted in big bold letters in the description.This purchaser is not disappointed. I have books of all sizes on our shelves. My grandkids are at different levels of interest and attention span. I’m hoping for a few more Little Bruce Books!

My children love Ryan T. Higgins's "Bruce books". They love figuring out what made Bruce upset and I love the opportunity to laugh with them AND teach important social skills. Win-win.

My grandkids age 22 months, 4 years, and 6 years absolutely love this book. I love reading it to them. I even pre-ordered the one that's coming out later this year. Cute characters!

What the heck happened to the Bruce books?!!! This is a third the size of the other Mother Bruce Books. The story is still great but the size stinks on the book shelf.

What a disappointment. The book is half of the usual size and the reason is there is little content. Most of the book is about a rabbit and Bruce with the rabbit talking about the "green smell of green-smelling grass" and the "sweet smell of sweet-smelling daisies". My grandson has loved the previous Bruce books but would be very disappointed with this book so I'm returning it.

Love grumpy Bruce bear and almost-unbearably-exuberant bunny Ruth! Plus, the small size makes reminds of favorite classic Golden Books and is perfect to hold in the stroller or car seat. Soon to be a family favorite!

I preordered this new Mother Bruce book and waited impatiently for it to arrive months later. Sadly, I returned it to Amazon thirty minutes after it arrived. What happened!! We are adults in our 70's - with no grandchildren yet - and we own ALL of the Mother Bruce books; we totally enjoy & read them over and over. Not only was Spring Stinks a tiny little book, the story was thin, weak, and non-sensical (and not in the usual good way). The ending left me hanging; I kept trying to unstick the missing last page - which wasn't there. On a positive note, the art was good. I'm such a fan, I'll preorder and wait impatiently for the next installment. Counting on you Ryan; you can do it!

Love Bruce books. My son loves reading the series.We always giggle when reading.
