Snappin Bass 4 tha Price of a Pizza
The 808 NRG is more than acceptable for the price, in fact its a steal. Good weight. Good size (fits in my pocket). Great Sound. Wether I'm outside or indoors the sound remains dynamic. I can't have a coversation when at full volume.(a good thing). The battery lasts all day and can play while charging. Uses universal Android type charger. I dropped it first day out of the box and didn't put a scratch on it. That said, it's not idustrable but it does come with a 12 month warranty though. The bass in my opinion is just as good as the 808 Hex, a $50 to $60 speaker. I used the Hex for weeks while a waited on the NRG. When I got it, I was amazed to discover that there wasn't that much of a difference. For a third of the cost, I would put this speaker over the Hex anyday. It has a pemium brushed metal finish. It can distort if the use it a full volume for a long period but full volume is not necessary. I use about 70% of the full volume. I'm going to buy another one. I definitely scored big time on this purhase

Wireless with true volume!
Haven't found many wireless speakers that really put out volume, but this one does. Originally bought one from Sam's Club, but it was stolen from our car. I was so thankful to see I could still purchase a replacement from Amazon.

I won't ever get any other wireless speaker because this one is great!
I "stole" this Bluetooth speaker from my cousin in a White Elephant Christmas exchange. I'd never heard of the brand and had no idea if it was going to be any good or not, but I had been wanting a Bluetooth speaker for a while and never really took the plunge. I'd initially looked it over when it was my turn to pick a gift or "steal" and decided to pass on it, only to have my gift stolen right away, so I knew maybe it was destiny then I needed to go ahead and steal the speaker. The remainder of the game, I kept hoping no one was going to steal my gift. I got lucky and was able to come home with this 808 NRG Wireless Speaker. The packaging wasn't too difficult to get into. It was encased in a plastic front and back cover, which was covered by cardboard. Pulling up just one side of the cardboard, I was able to easily lift up on the plastic and get it out.I held the power button down until the little blue light began rapidly flashing, and then hit the "pair" button. Went to my bluetooth settings on my iPod, found the speaker, and connected easily. I started playing some music, and was amazed. The sound is FANTASTIC. And trust me, I'm a big music connoisseur. I play, I sing, I'm in a band, and I love to listen to my music loud after messing with all the equalizer settings. There's nothing to adjust with this speaker but I love the quality of the sound that comes out of this. The bass is great, the treble is great, the mids, lows, highs, clarity of the sound out of this is really good for such a small, and relatively cheap speaker. I admit, I'm quite impressed. The ONLY drawback (for me) is it doesn't get very loud. Then again, my definition of loud and everyone else's definition of loud vary greatly, I'm sure! It doesn't get as loud as your stereo would, but it definitely is louder than a "boombox." (do people even know what a boombox is anymore? The radios you plug into your wall, sometimes were portable and took batteries... sometimes had a CD player, the old ones had cassette players... we used to record our favorite songs off the radio with these things.... yeah, those). So, yeah, I'd say for a bluetooth speaker at a relatively cheap cost, this is perfect. The White Elephant exchange gifts with my family are from $20-25. Definitely worth the price. I probably won't ever get any other wireless speaker because this one is great, unless I feel like throwing down $200 on an Amazon Echo.
