Works great with the right instructions!
The media could not be loaded. I needed a remote toggle for a Halloween prop. After reading Peter David Wraight's review, it was easy to power the relay and program the mode.I used a 9-volt battery to power the device, soldered the blue/yellow wires to the two green wires that were previously attached to the on/off switch, and used test hooks to temporarily attach the momentary switch for changing mode (easier than soldering!).

This is a remote control relay. It does not close the circuit and transmit power.
This is a remote control relay. I merely closes or opens a circuit. It does not close the circuit and transmit power. If you want something to transmit a power signal you need to buy a different one. Most of the bad reviews state that it doesn't do anything. It definitely does. But it's not going to power whatever you are trying to make remote controlled. The instructions are okay and if you need very detailed instructions you probably shouldn't be trying to add this kind of remote to anything. Remember this will not power anything. It's just a gate which opens and closes a circuit. There are other reviews that explain how to change the modes but I found the instructions good enough.

How to change the Mode: See Peter David Wraight review
If you bought this remote and it won't work like you want it to then join the club. I know my photo is not the best for repeating this mode change but if you look for a review by Peter David Wraight, his directions are very good. I needed the remote to latch (one remote button press is on, another remote button press is off). The instructions that come with it are garbage. I messed with the thing getting it wired up to a motor for an hour then it would only do a delay. Peters instructions were excellent. I set it up with an LED and wired the push button to the two small holes on the side of the circuit board. Following Peters instructions I was able to change the mode after a couple of attempts. I gave it a low rating because of the instructions.

It's a remote controlled dry contact mechanical relay...
This device is nothing more than a simple relay that you actuate with the remote. It uses a dry contact, mechanical relay that you can actuate by putting up to 12 volts on the red and black wires (positive and negative), then when you press the button on the remote, the other two wires get connected together thus allowing you to turn something on. The relay datasheet says your load on the blue and yellow wires can be as much as 250 volts AC but no more than 1 amp of current. I don't recommend switching voltage that high as this little thing seems too frail for something like that, though I would use it for an AC 110-volt LED light of some kind that uses less than an amp of current.By default, it works like this: As you hold down the remote button, the relay is actuated and stays actuated until you let go of the button. There are other modes you can put it in. Look through the comments for one written by Peter David Wraight. He thoroughly explains how to program the different modes. To be able to use it at longer distances, you will need to extend the antenna (shown in my photo). This is a great, inexpensive remote-controlled relay. It works perfectly and is an excellent device to have in your project arsenal.

Useless product that doesn't work!!!!
The instructions are horrible and don't make any sense. Obviously the person writing them does not speak English. Following the wiring diagram, there is no power to the NO open side when wiring as indicated. This thing is garbage and a waste of money.

How to program the device
The instructions that come with the device are useless and confusing and are for a different model. The key to programming this unit is to connect a push button to the two small connections on the side.To test the device as received I recommend connecting up a small bulb LED (light emitting diode) and a battery to the relay circuit (Blue and Yellow wires). In the photo you can see I connected up a small laser diode. Push the button on the Remote Fob and you should see the LED turn on for as long as you keep the button on the remote pressed. If you quickly press and release the remote button quickly the LED will turn on and off: this is the "Momentary" mode and if this is what you want then there is no need to re-program the device. If you want the "Latched", "Toggle" or 10 second on mode you must connect a push to connect button to the two small connections on the side of the device (see photo). There is no "5 second on" mode on this model only "10 seconds on".After connecting the push button to the two small connections carefully with a sharp pointed soldering iron connect power to the device on the red and black wires do the following:1) Push the push button (not the remote button)2) The blue light on the device turns on3)Push the remote button 3 times, the blue light goes out4) Push the push button once until the blue light flashes once5) You have now programmed the device in the "Latched Mode" and pressing the remote button will turn on the LED permanently until you turn off the device power6) If this is what you want no further action requiredTo Program "Momentary" mode:7) Turn off power to the device8) Turn on power to the device9) Push the push button once10) Push the remote button 3 times, the blue light goes out11) Push and hold the push button until the blue light flashes once, then twice, release the push button12) It is now programmed in "Momentary Mode"To program the device in "Toggle Mode":13) Turn off power to the device14)Turn on power to the device15) Push the push button once16)Push the remote button 3 times until the blue light goes out17)Push and hold the push button unril you see the blue light first flash once then twice then 3 times. Release the push button18) The device is now programmed in "Toggle Mode" I think you are getting the idea now......do the same sequence but wait for 4 flashes of the blue light, that is the 10 second on mode". 5 flashes is repeat of "latched mode" and 6 is another repeat of "latched mode"That's it........

It’s a simple relay.
The media could not be loaded. It works great and is super easy to install. My only gripe is that I couldn’t get it to work at 5 vdv. No issues with 9v+. It also has a very small footprint!Still a 5-star product!

Works great, terrible instructions
The instructions are incomprehensible for the model they apply to, and this isn't it. It amazes me how Chinese manufacturers will invest time and money designing, producing and supplying sophisticated electronics for English speaking markets and yet, more often than not, fail to take a few minutes to run the translated manual by someone who actually speaks English. /rant.It works great though.
