Fantastic vacuum, if you don't get a lemon.
I've owned quite a few robot vacuums and mops over the years. All the mops are terrible. The technology isn't there yet. The ones that could be great get clogged rending it worthless, so just buy a Bissell Spinwave and make your life easier. The mop on this thing is like asking a kid to wipe the floor down with a wet rag. It'll be better than nothing, but it's not clean. The vacuum though? It's fantastic IF you don't get a lemon. I have two of these things and I use them multiple times a day. I have 7 kids and 4 dogs. There's crumbs, hair, and dirt everywhere. With light colored floors, I have to constantly clean. One of the vacuums worked, but didn't charge. I sent it back right away. No use wasting time on a lemon. Its replacement has been marvelous. These bad boys are great because they're super, duper quiet, especially compared to the iRobot S9, which is crazy loud, even on its lightest suction mode. They're super fast too. They finish a room much faster than the iRobot did because they don't waste time trying to cover every single square inch if something was blocked. You have the option to revacuum over the obstacles if you want, but I never do because it's pretty darn clean. It does a fantastic job and has only gotten stuck once on a binder the kids left on the floor unlike that blasted iRobot!!! I've only used these to vacuum for well over a month and the house looks great. There would be black dog hair everywhere if it missed any spots. It does great on area rugs too. The only technical complaint I have is that after dividing the rooms the way I like it, it sometimes resets it to the way the map was when it originally mapped the house. That's a little annoying. Then I waste time merging zones again. It's only happened with one of the vacuums. It's much less glitchy than the iRobot. The iRobot used to have errors multiple times a day, like the dustbin was full when it wasn't or the lid wasn't closed when it was. Then I'd waste more time than it was worth figuring out all those blasted errors! iRobot has great customer service, trust me because I spent hours talking to them from the first day I had that blasted thing, but their products bite. I haven't had to use the customer service for these yet and I really hope I never have to. I hate talking to people about stuff like that. Overall, I very highly recommend these, if you get one that works from the get go.

3Year review
So it is now 3 years since we bought this in May of 2021. This vacuum is great, great mapping, great app. I have never had to contact customer service, so I can not comment on that. We have a small dog and two cats. When we run this every 2 days it keeps up with the pet hair. I have bought a new brush roller once a year, and have to clean the roller once a month, but other than that vacuum has been maintenance free. We have only used the mop feature maybe 10 times in 3 years, I'm not really impressed with it. My father has had 4 different robot vacs in 5 years, some with mopping, they seemed the same. Mopping does wet the hard floor and avoid the carpet, but there is no scrubbing to speak of. It has some nice absorbent pads, but they are small and get really dirty, really fast. I suppose if you changed them halfway through a cleaning they would be ok. I prefer to steam scrub with my cheap Shark steam mop. I have had to set up 4 robot vacs at my parents, usually not easy, but this one is done in a snap. I have had to set it up 3 times in 3 years because of internet changes or outages. Setup has always been done in 5 minutes. I highly recommend this vac.

MUCH better than I thought with a few minor issues.
Tried to do research on vacuum/mop robots but they're mostly tied in categories. So I picked my criteria of good mapping, good obstacle management, and good mopping. That narrowed it down to just two for me and I just picked the T8. I chose not to get the T8 AIVI with the camera as I don't care to have a photographic map of my house available. It's bad enough there's a digital map but if you want mapping vs random, you have to allow it. So this little machine completely exceeded my expectations. First with the mapping. It mapped our whole 3000 foot house very precisely (less one room we blocked off) and managed to shockingly vacuum the entire house on one charge the first time. Our house is all hardwood tile with rugs. It crawls right onto the rugs, turns up the vacuum, and then back down to the hard floor and turns down the vacuum. The second time it ran out of juice before it was finished and I had to carry it back. Since then there was a firmware upgrade and it usually finishes the whole house and gets back to it's charging station on one charge. Once it wasn't quite done and it announced it was heading back to charge. Impressive. Mopping was trial and error. It remapped the house for mopping, carefully avoiding any rugs. The problem is some of the rugs don't leave enough hard floor for the robot to get through so it avoids those areas. I flipped up the corners of the rugs to give it room to pass and it works fine . Remember, it's not really "mopping", it's dragging a wet pad along the floor. The pad coverage was OK, but I decided to run up the water to max and it's much better. Pad wet trail behind the T8 is still about 75% the width of the pad. I keep an eye on it, and when the water tank gets low, I pause the robot, refill the tank, clean the pad, and let it keep going. This vastly improved performance. I haven't used the app to tell it to re-do specific areas yet, but I will experiment with that in the future. I may consider purchasing the shaker mop, but for the time being, I vacuum one day, mop the next, then one day off, so the floors are actually staying pretty clean. The T8 works its away around all our chair legs very nicely, and it only got stuck once, behind a curtain. I'm not sure why it didn't avoid the curtain, but this is very good performance in my opinion. We have a small dog and I read that if your dog has an pooping accident, robots won't stop and go around, instead smearing the accident as it goes. So we ran a test with a small Baby Ruth bar (hat's off to Caddyshack) and the T8 ran into it and kept going. Bad news if your "accident" is real. Perhaps the AIVI version with the camera and AI would recognize it and go around, but I just don't want a camera. All in all I'm pretty impressed. I vacuumed the house before we let it run loose the first time and the bin still filled completely up (the T8 runs under our beds!). When we ran it the second day it filled up again so I assume it got so full the first day it couldn't take any more debris. Now I pause and check it after an hour. It vacuums as it mops too and it's still picking up residual dust and hair. I won't be getting the tower that cleans the bin. I think it's too tall and I'm placing the T8 under a shelving unit to keep it out of the way when it's not in use. If I feel the mopping isn't working well with the high water setting and moping every third day, I'll consider the shaker. But I gotta say, I'm amazed at how well this worked out.

good robot to have
I've had this vacuum for about 2 years now. it works pretty well. Maps the entire floor and does a pretty good job mopping and vacuuming. It felt over priced when i bought it but they are significantly cheaper now than they were when i bought it. for under 200 its a good robot to have. I also can start the robot while im away from home. the app is also easy to use. you can create sections for each area on the floor and choose the order it vacuums each area. you can also create virtual borders. The vacuum also moves around obstacles and doesn't drive off the stairs was considering getting another for my second floor now that they are much cheaper.

Way too many issues, buggy software, and the extra "PRO" oscillating mop has stopped oscillating.
The pros: It vacuums and mops, doesn't really do either all that well but it's good enough for maintenance but you'll still need to do a deep clean from time to time (especially mopping), so it cuts down on the work my wife needs to do. Cons: The programming/software needs a lot of improvement! The map feature is ridiculous to try and zone, we managed to make it work but it's not how we want it because the program would not let us end a room where it should end. It's not very user friendly. The Deebot regularly can't find the base after cleaning. I've witnessed it run over the base several times while vacuuming (I suppose it's not a shape it recognizes to avoid), but can't find it when it's time to charge. It also has issues knowing which floor it is on, I sure wish there was a way to tell the app which floor it is on instead of the need to use the locate button, which rarely works. It runs out of battery and has to return to the base but can't find it, then you have to go and find where it ended up, you'll really enjoy this if you like playing hide and seek. The cleaning path isn't logical at all, it will clean one room, then go to the other end of the house to clean another room, then come back to where it started to clean an attached bathroom, then go back to the other side of the house for another room. This is probably why it regularly runs out of battery before finishing. More times than not, it can't locate itself even with strong wifi, so I have to use the auto start feature and hope it figures out where it is, which really stinks when I just want to vacuum one area. Even when it figures out which floor it is on and starts cleaning it shows the charging unit in the wrong part of the map. How is this possible, it starts at one point and knows it was charging there but then shows the charging station on the other end of the house. Then, the robot can't find the charging station later. The programming could be MUCH better and I certainly would like to see more firmware updates showing the company is working on some of these issues. We paid extra for the mob attachment and the Deebot drops the attachment every now and then. We paid extra for the mob attachment and the Deebot drops the attachment every now and then, we haven't been able to figure out why. We know it's attached securely but it will just drop it while cleaning. Our laundry room is tiled and is beige with an erratic brown splotched pattern. The Deebot can't tell the difference between the brown pattern and cat poop. It's spread poop all over the tile floor more than once. Lastly, we still have to vacuum regularly because the T8 isn't nearly as powerful as our whole house system but my wife is a bit of a clean freak and appreciates it for the maintenance aspect. Just know that a deep clean is still necessary on a regular basis and you'll still need to vacuum stairs! Update: We are at the point where we have some sort of issue every time we run it now. I really should give it one star but am giving it two because my wife loves having her vacuuming cut down even if the Deebot is a pain to work with. I wish I would have gone with another brand, this will be the last Deebot product I purchase unless they are able to fix some of the issues. The location service is a big part of the frustration! Update 6/11/2021 - Our Ecovac has been so irritating, one thing after another - programming is horrible, the unit can't find the charger, get's stuck spinning in circles with no obstacles around, and now the oscillating "PRO" attachment has stopped oscillating. Support is a joke, do yourself a favor and shop a different brand.

Impressive ability
TL;DR: Easier than manually vacuuming & sweeping and works pretty well. Much better than cheaper & older models I've used in the past. Pros: It can quickly map out the space and then travel a logical route to completely cover it, even without using the pre-mapping feature. The app works pretty well. Robot doesn't constantly bang into everything (like my old ones did). When it faces obstacles, it mostly manages competently (unlike my old ones). The mopping is better than nothing (but it's no swiffer). Makes a reasonable amount of noise for the suction power you're getting. Cons: You do have to clean it out (ideally pretty thoroughly sometimes). Not nearly as powerful as even a cheap manually controlled vacuum. Takes much longer than a human for the same area. Talks sometimes out of nowhere while charging, which can be startling. Sometimes it just hits the dirt around into an area that it already cleaned, so it never gets sucked up.

Love it, but won't return to charging base to charge
When it's vacuuming it is wonderful. It is so quite! I could run it at night and I'm sure I wouldn't wake up. It goes under the beds. Now the problems. It is more than difficult to get it to charge. I finally got it charged and updated the software and firmware. On its maiden run - it completely ran over a pile of poop. It was a mess. I had to take the deebott apart and clean it out. No fun. But outside of that - it ran like a charm. I love it!! But it has NOT returned to the base to charge. When I place it on the base it charges, but then the battery will drain. So today it did a partial cleaning of one room and the hallway and said it's battery was low and it was returning to the base. Then promptly started roaming around in places it hadn't even been in today and died. I so DO NOT want to return this. I read something about having the base 5 ft from the router. I'm going to try that and talk to support. I'll update this review and let you know what happens.

The best vacuum I had so far, impressive!!
I tried about 1/2 dozen vacuums so far, eufy 11s ,eufy 30 max, samsung powerbot, 360 s7 pro, ecovac 950 and the t8. 1 thing you are going to want is good battery life and the 950 and the t8 have it. a matter of fact they are outstanding when it comes to battery life. Second you want a good app with easy use the ecovac app is very user friendly. Third the t8 is very effective cleaning my house in a short period of time. Its takes about 1 hour to do 4 bedrooms 2 baths plus walk in closets. The it is very good with pet hair.. With this model I find it better then the 950 and cheaper also. It does avoid obstacles which i like , I have pets and the toys are sometimes around the house and it does avoid it. Ecovac I have to say is a very exceptional vacuum. I tried the others and none of them come close. The mopping I suggest you put something inside the pad to bulk it up ailttle I find it works better with padding between the pad and the plastic plate. Overall for the price its an outstanding vacuum. The 950.kept getting stuck in the bathroom and was unable to find its way back tk the charger. The t8 has worked almost flawlessly. Only one hick up the vacuum kept going to a corner where a vent is and kind of backed itself into the corner and had a hard time.getting out of it. The samsung was th worst , The eufy was a great value but isn't in the same league as the t8.
