Lovely paint brush pens
The very flexible and tapered brush tips take a bit of practice to use well. I can just about use them for fine details (with delicate pressure) as well as broad area (with firmer pressure). These pens lay down colour that reminds me of using actual paints. I have also tried blending colours and need more practice, but haven't yet used the plain brush with a water reservoir. This would probably give me more creative options.

Lovely Pen Set
I'm really enjoying this brush set. I've only done one drawing with it and it really was a practice run. I would recommend doing a tester of the pens and practicing so you figure out what techniques you like. I found that these pens can layer well and blend brilliantly. I'm going to use them again for another drawing and use more water for that one. I also recommend using thick paper. I used paper designed for acrylic paint as that is all I had on hand but the paper has folded up on itself as I used a lot of water. Probably best to invest in a watercolour pad as well unless your planning on using these like regular pens.

Real brush pens!!
The pens are the best. I bought these a couple of months ago. And since then have found no others like these! The brush is a proper brush. Flexible all the way down! I tried to buy more with different colours, couldn't find any by this make so went and bought more elsewhere. Big mistake! I have bought 4 other types all saying BRUSH pens and been massively disappointed! The brush has just been at the tips then hard the rest of the way down, and I paid a lot more too! I would 100% recommend these. Just wish they did more colours. I.e. A pack of 80 or more. But hey, that's me always wanting more! But yes, These are proper brush pens. And for the price, pretty impressive too!! I love these pens.

Very nice brush pens.
I alway buy the larger boxes to get maximum colour range, sadly atm there is no 98 paint brush pen sets range, which is best value to buy and as a artist is needed for the max out colour selection. For the smaller brush pen sets they arrive in a cardboard box instead of the best quality plastic, waterproof container that they used to use. I purchased 2 boxes of the 48, but these do not have a great selection for each colour plus in a cardboard box, which I really am disappointed about. I contacted Arteza direct, I asked can I purchase the 98 brush pen sets in the plastic container set, they responded they have non and did not know of a future date they would be available. Would have got 5 star if the packaging to contain my brush pens was of the old quality, so am having to find my own strong plastic container to keep all contained. As an artist this is paramount to easily find each colour and match quickly. Also this would have got a higher rating if I could purchase the 98 brush pens.Brushes are easy to use, and give a fresh outcome of colours. Recommend makers keep the previous very strong, plastic container as needed for easy storage and keeps all brush pens fresh that they do not dry out. I use these for professional use, and used a few years back completing my Masters of Art.

Use as soluble watercolours and experiment!
If you've got a bit of background knowledge in watercolour painting you'd soon realise that you can dilute these shades when on paper (or even board), merge shades together and 'wash' white areas out of dried colour, as you would with watercolours...experimenting is fun! The ink seeps out a bit but maybe it was as I wasn't using watercolour paper. However I've been delighted with my colours and also think this will be great for travelling, outdoors and quick sketches. I also found that held lightly from afar the pens make very light, fine lines and using them flat is good for coverage and blending. No negatives (except I wish I had more!)!

Why paint pen ?
The difference is great. To be able to draw a picture with this item free hand is mega. You can touch up any slight errors in seconds without being able to see it. I love the way the colours blend. Also, the speed of delivery was very fast. Direct from the makers is a must, with many more colours available. The 96 will be my next buy. If they make a larger number of pens I will seriously consider buying that. A massive thank you from me ! A great product !

Great result straight away!
Very fast delivery, so I could complete module 2 City and Guilds on time! Great results- I just need to see whether the pens work on top of watercolours, without picking up the paint.

Well worth the money
My granddaughter knows I love to doodle some and she likes my work. Sensible girl. She recommended I give these a go. At first, looking at the prices, I thought they would run out in no time at all. Wrong several weeks in and still going strong. Better still are the many colours and different shades giving plenty of choice. Take a bit of getting used to, but well worth the effort, the brushes can be used in a variety of strokes hard, thick, thin and soft plus everything in between. Love em.
