SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSMOKIN'!
crystalized candied ginger has long been one of my favorite things for both a sweet treat and to settle my stomach or boost my immune system during the winter months (there doesn't seem to be enough added sugar to counteract any health benefits). I eat a lot of ginger in salads and stir-fries, too. it's a fantastic addition to almost anything. I don't often buy candied ginger because the organic is crazy expensive and it's difficult to find sulphur-free versions that are inexpensive and not stringy (so full of "strings" you have to spit most of it out after chewing the good parts).this is THE best candied ginger I've ever had!!! it's also the hottest, by far. I keep them in the freezer, and these ginger candies also have the best texture of any brand I've ever tried, whether frozen or room temperature. when frozen they are solid (freezing usually just makes them very chewy), and when room-temperature the consistency reminds me of the dots movie candy.I like getting them by the pound rather than in 4oz bags within boxes. minimalist packaging is always my favorite, and it seems this company puts their money into the product rather than into the presentation. if you like mild ginger candy, this is not for you. if you like a hint of sweetness as the fire rages in your mouth, you've come to the right place! HIGHly recommended!!! I'll re-order when these get low. and now I have to make some ginger snaps with lots of this ginger diced into the batter...for science!

Delicious both for cooking and for eating.
We bought this for my wife to make fruitcake with last fall, and have spent the rest of the year just eating it as candy. It is wonderful! The heat and flavor of the ginger combined with the sweetness of the sugar are an excellent combination--it is not so sweet that it overpowers the ginger. We like things really gingery, so it might be a bit too much for those used to milder flavors. Our son likes to take a big piece, mash it up and pour boiling water over it to make a tea; he loves the flavor and the ginger fiber that he gets from it. The ginger also helps settle his stomach pains from his Crohn's disease. The one thing to remember, though, is that a little does go a long way. Still, months after purchase, it is fresh and delicious. Will definitely buy it again in the future.

Fresh and spicy
Well if you love ginger lol these are for you. They were a little too spicy for me but I’m not a huge spicy ginger fan. I had hoped the sugar would help and it does, but still too strong for me. The quality and freshness looked great. So it seems like a quality product.

A good product.
The product came on time and sealed in plastic packaging that is not resealable. . On the front of the packaging was a label containing: product name, nutrition information, ingredients, expiration date, and contact information. Visually: the product came in chunk form ranging from 0.5 inch to 1 inch in diameter. The product is the color of amber, and as far as crystallized ginger is concerned, the complexion is right in the middle, not to light or dark, and It is coated in sugar. There isn't any discernible smell, or any smell for that matter. The texture is soft and gummy, with a few peaces in every dozen being stringy. The flavor and heat is mild, but builds over time the more you eat. ( I eat a lot of ginger so... grain of salt). Overall, The quality of the product is good. Personally I like the product, and enjoy eating it. the only fault is not having resealable packaging . I will be ordering from them again, and would recommend this product to others.

Ginger is a great thing to keep around.......
......it has so many uses — helps nausea, helps digestion and adds spicy flavor to food. This one, however, is ‘dangerous’. Like others have said, this one is ‘addictive’.I used to live near an international market and could get fresh plump ginger roots for less than $1.50/lb most of the time. Now I live in a ‘food desert’ in a rural area. My local grocery has ‘fresh’ ginger (all shriveled up) in a cooler case for $4.99/lb. So I went looking for an acceptable substitute. This fills the bill except for some cooking uses.I also want to thank the manufacturer for making this sulfite-free. Low/no sulfites is a strong consideration for my purchasing habits.

Quality not so good.
The flavor is pretty good, nice strong hot ginger taste with a good sweet undertone on some pieces, however.... The sizes of the chunks are all uneven. The pieces range in size from a sliver barely a 1/8" thick to monster bits 3/4x1/2". This results in uneven processing, with some pieces tender and sweet, while the larger pieces are woody and just hot.

Gingerlicious
I didn't buy this for medicinal purposes. I bought this as candy, for enjoyment, and it is very enjoyable indeed. It is a little chewier than the candied ginger that is sulfited, but I like that. Think Kraft Caramels meet Atomic Fireballs, but better than either of those. Firm, chewy, sweet, spicy, and tingle-your-tongue tasty. Bought it to munch while reading spooky fiction (that's how I do Halloween, eating candy and reading scary stuff) and it really sweetened and spiced up my Halloween. Am at the bottom of the bag as I type this. An addicting confection indeed. Love, love, love! Most delish.

Large, heavily sugared chunks; a bit too much for me but with a nice ginger bite. Consistency isn't the best but it's passable. There are far better products for less cost: Nutstop provides a delicious lower sugar, no sulfur product for 3lbs. @ $21!
