This is less of a "how to write" book and more of a "how to THINK about writing" book. Highly recommend

Becker’s book is a masterpiece and a must read for any academic working in any social science. It’s a quick and pleasant read and yet one filled with helpful advice. More than that, the book act as a psychological companion. By sharing the writing labours of the author and other colleagues, their anxieties and the struggles to get published the book inspires confidence and removes instantly many fears. I cannot recommend this work enough.

This is a well presented and helpful advisory book. It is well written and comprehensive. I am delighted with its content.
