Quality Model
The detail on this model is very good. The model as a whole is very sturdy and visually very striking. The bridge section is plastic but the remainder of the model is die-cast metal. The seller sent my order with the seal broken but the model and collectors book were in new condition.

Verry well made
This is by far one of the best looking ships I have ever seen. The size is fantastic and the de tale is spot on.

Really amazing sculpt overall, only hampered by a couple of minor issues.
I was really hoping Diamond Select would make a light and sound version of the Iconic Klingon Battle Cruiser, but it's looking less and less likely, so this is the next best thing. This is my second "XL" series ship, my first being the U.S.S. Thunderchild Akira Class ship, which I was very Impressed with. This model could've easily been great, incredible even, but I had to dock a star for a couple of minor issues that mar an otherwise excellent sculpt (you really need to see it in person, pictures don't do it justice). The first issue is the Impulse Engines at the back, they are just two red translucent pieces of plastic that are on the model, and the fact that the edges aren't painted detracts and cheapens the look of the otherwise excellent sculpt, they look more like tail lights than proper engines. The second issue is with the "Cobra Head" command section of the ship, mine was fitted and glued quite poorly, and where the Top Cobra looking section is attached to "Bulb" (The part that houses the massive torpedo launcher), there is a gap due to how it was made, you would think that the top part of the bulb would be flat so the Cobra section could sit flush on top, but they made the odd decision to round the Bulb section completely and only two small plastic pegs hold the Cobra section to the Bulb, which results in a gap you can see through when viewing the ship from side angles. This could be fixed with some modeling putty and a bit of sanding, but if Eaglemoss had just flattened the top of the Bulb it wouldn't have been a problem. Aside from these two issues it really is an awesome looking model and I'm glad to have it.The paint apps are excellent, mine didn't have any crooked windows and aside from the first and second issue, the fit and finish of all the parts were excellent (straight nacelles and straight neck). It also sits quite securely in it's stand and the stand shows off the ship at a good angle. I'm a big Trekker so I assumed there wasn't much in the Magazine that I wouldn't already know, but it was still an interesting read, AND it has a diagram of the Klingon Bridge that was in ST:TMP (I actually had no idea the bridge was as big as it was). All in all, I would say if your a Trekker or Trekkie looking at this, I would say get it if you lack the skills or the patience to build a model of your own.
