Every year, I've had barn swallows nest in the front porch of my home. I have a high two story that makes it perfect for them to nest. While I was ok with it at first, it became a nuisance with cleaning bird poop and fallen babies that I tried to rescue. I decided to give these a try. At first I didn't know if it would work since I thought they would have to be placed high enough to deter them with the reflection. I hung two on the lamp posts, one near the front door and the other near the garage. When the sun is just right, they reflect a shine. These worked! The barn swallows did try to come back at first and make their elegant swoop into the porch area and attempt to make the nest, but they did not stay! It took a couple of weeks but it worked! I was about to display a big owl, but I'm glad I didn't. These are decorative enough to hang and are lightweight. You have to peel off the blue film on the round discs. It comes with enough to strategically place them where needed. I do like that it is a safe way to prevent birds from nesting. After all, I do love birds! I highly recommend them!

we only had them hanging for a week or so, but it appears they are doing a pretty decent job. we have yet to see how they will hold thru the weather elements and whatnot....

I had purchased those prism stickers and still had bird strikes on our 4 windows by the bird feeder. We hung two of these over 2 windows. The clacking against the windows in the wind drove me nuts. So we put shepards hooks about a foot from the windows and hung these. They work great!! The mirrors really reflect. Not 1 bird strike since hanging them up.

Very few to say. Overpriced plastic pieces. I bought 2 sets for the deck. It seems work. Not all birds are scared of this plastic though. I had to buy additional swinging carabiner to make them turning. Hopefully the will last entire summer season…

Woodpeckers pecked 11 holes in our stucco, 32 feet high on the North side of the house. It's a brand new house; however a tornado came through the neighborhood knocking down all of the rotted trees which I assume housed bugs that the woodpeckers liked. We put these rods up on the under side of the eaves. It took care of the issue and we repaired the stucco. They look cool blowing in the wind; like a wind chime that makes no noise. One by one the rods fell down in the wind. We didn't put them back up because renting a 32 ft ladder is quite a task and the woodpeckers hadn't returned. Finally after a year the final rod fell down and the woodpeckers were back within a few hours. YIKES. Only one hole this time as we worked quick to get the rods back up. The rods originally came with thin elastic string which is why they fell down over time. When we put them back up we used heavy fabric ribbon. So far, so good.
