Great for initial exploration of letters
I got these for my youngest child, a preschooler. These are great if your goal is to get kids to understand that words are made up of various letters. Directionality of words is another plus. The letters are smooth and wooden. They are colorful. The cards are slightly coated (think playing cards) so more durable than just paper. Cute illustrations too. There are lots of fun ways you can get kids to play with letters- emphasize the sounds letters make as they search for the corresponding letter to fit the image.I paid under $10 for these and for that price point they are a great an inexpensive learning tool.

Not impressed - cheap
I was really disappointed in this toy and honestly would have returned it if it weren’t for the fact that my daughter already opened it. I didn’t realize it was just pieces with letters traced on them for kids to match the letters too and thought they actually fit the letters in place. The letters were at least decent quality!! Overall when I see Montessori in a product name I just expect a little more..

I bought two!
These were perfect for my 2 year old. He enjoys making words. The letters are interchangeable, so u can be n, m can be w etc. They also sent a bag for the letters to go into, which was handy. They are thick enough, like on cards took, not laminated. He has not torn any yet. A variety of words in including hand, foot, tree, baby. All easy four letters words.

Quite enjoyable game.
It’s a very fun game. My granddaughter really enjoys it. But the cards do bend a bit too easily and there are no groves toplace the letters. Still, for the money it’s a great learning game

Perfect for letter and word building
Perfect for kids learning to read and letters. We love there are many words to choose from. This letter puzzle is great for kids who are beginning to build words. Our kids love to build the words, talk about what letter and sounds they make. We highly recommend these for any preschool age kid.

Love it but needs more vowels
Great, fun way to help children learn to read. My 4 year-old great granddaughter, who is anxious to learn to read on her own, feels a sense of accomplishment of actuslly spelling words. Only a couple of drawbacks: cards could be a little bit thicker and it would be helpful to have more letters...especially vowels. She has to keep taking letters from words she’s just spelled in order to spell more.

More Letters PLEASE
I have to say, this could be a great game, it is extremely user friendly BUT, as for my grandson at age 4, his desire to fill in all of the cards not just do one word and then another word.... MORE LETTERS PLEASE! Like my Little Man remarked, "Grammy, where are the rest of the letters???"

Nice cards - but could be thicker
The cards feature a colorful illustration and well outlined letters. The size of the cards are perfect for a toddler. I do wish the cards were a bit thicker and sturdier; not fold as easily. However, I would still purchase this or even gift this item. Overall good and well made and as expected.
