90 days in the field
I bought two of these transformers and they worked like a charm. I used one to power a HP Laserjet 680 printer, and during the field they recharged radio batteries, cell phones, and a coffee maker. These bad boys endured many days and nights being plugged into a generator and sometimes in hardstand buildings all the time providing a reliable source of a 110 or 220 current. This handy doo-da ended being a lifesaver and withstood a 90 days of field time = (being moved around ALOT, constant use, some moisture) and still continues to deliver. Although we used it constantly, we also treated this thing with kit gloves since it was so valuable to us. Bottom line this transformer is reliable, durable, and worth every penny.

This works great so far
Brought my PC with a 220v power supply back to the US, and so needed to step up to use with 110v. This works great so far. Simple to set up and solidly and quietly performs without excess heat. I'll return to this in several months to give an update. But I think it'll become a five star purchase. Great for the cost.

Worked well for 6 years
It’s a well built converter. I’ve used two for six years without any issue.

Not quite up to par.
The product arrived promptly after I ordered it. It was triple boxed and in perfert shape. Intructions to operate were easy to read and execute. My reason for a three star rating so early is that there is no manual with it and nothing about warranty or how to contact the company if there are problems. In my view this is substandard even though it seems to work fine.

Unsatisfactory. Lame performance
This transformer failed to power my home audio components. Whereas Simran 750W performs flawlessly. I do not recommend this Goldsource brand.I thought.something wrong with equipment. I was thinking that they picked up some damage during our moving to US from Europe. None of my equipment worked properly. Even my turntable (2W) with 16v500ma adapter could not get enough power with Goldsource. When I plugged my turntable, subwoofer and phono preamp to Simran 750w, they worked just fine. There for I say stay away from Goldsource.Disclaimer: My unit might be faulty although some other stuff works fine on this, some don't.

2 out of 5? That's how many of ours worked
We bought five of these for a move to Chile. Upon arriving, we put three to use right away. We tried to put four, but one was dead. It did absolutely nothing.Another one only works on one side. The other receptacle doesn't work.After about 8 months here, we opened the other box. Unfortunately, it doesn't work either.The ones that work are great. The third will get us by. What to do with the two dead ones? Shipping from here is cost prohibitive.

Is what I expected
Overall, a satisfying product. Have used this transformer on a daily basis for just over 1 year now, and have not had any problems with operation, connections, switches or deterioration/corrosion. The only thing more I could ask for is a stainless steel covering and lighter weight but am happy and satisfied with my purchase.

Great for the money paid.
Touch wood, this is working great so far. Powers up to 500W items well so far. I have seen another 1000W unit work a 2000W coffee machine too, but wouldn’t do it myself. Only issue is some plugs point down and I had to put the unit on a base to raise it.
