Would of liked to purchase in one larger bottle but several small ones work

Love this Portuguese picante sauce! Reminds me of eating kibbeh in Brazil with Piri Piri !😊

I love hot sauces and purchased this to branch out to some other styles from different areas of the world. As far as hot sauces go, I found this to be fairly tame as far as heat level goes; maybe a similar heat to Cholula. The flavor is definitely unique and has a somewhat smokey taste to it, likely from the peppers uses. By the way the ingredients don't list a specific pepper, but simply list "Red Hot Pepper" as the main ingredient. It has a pretty thin consistency, similar to Tabasco. Finally like others have said, it has a flip open cap, but there is no hole pre-made in to the inside part of the cap for the sauce to come out of. I'm guessing this is to prevent leakage during transport. I used a small drill bit and simply made a small hole, which was easy and worked great, but I'm guessing you could puncture a small hole in the lid with any small pointy object. Over all like this hot sauce and 12 bottles for around $20 seems like a great deal. I'll be giving a few away and keeping the rest to use in situations where I might otherwise use a Mexican hot sauce.

Tasty, thin slightly sweet, very much like Tabasco. Ding would be the pack of 12 I bought had best by date of April 2021,I received in mid April so it was short dated and this important fact wasn’t mentioned in the description.

The sauce is at the end of the expiration date. Also, among the ingredients listed in the description of this sauce there is no mention of xanthan gum and sodium benzoate. I wouldn't have bought it, have I known that that. Maybe it's because of the preservatives added that it tastes bad. What a waste of money!

This hot sauce has the perfect balance of heat and flavor at a very reasonable price. This “product of Portugal” will not last long in my kitchen. Yum!!!
