I ordered these Skid Shoes for a 20 year old Craftsman Snow Blower, of which I have replaced the Skid Shoes on many times. The reviews on Amazon gave these Replacement Skids high marks so I decided to give them a try. When I opened the box, I was very impressed with the solid, heavy feel they had. These replacement Skid Shoes are better than the originals and numerous replacements I have purchased in the past. These are "heavy duty" Skid Shoes" and they fit the Snow Blower perfectly. I'm ready for another Wisconsin Winter.

These are perfect when your old shoes just don't do what they're supposed to anymore.

These worked on my 19xx Spirit 24" cut snowblower. I have no idea what year it is as it was given to me and the sticker with the model information is partially gone. Thank you to those of you who posted the 2.5 inches center to center for the holes! That helped me order the right ones the first time and not play slide shoe roulette with purchases and returns!

First off, these are expensive.Well, I feel $25 is expensive for these.Why? When you consider some other snow blower skids have a double ended design that allows you to flip them over when they wear out and you have new skids again. These are one use and replace, although the originals did last.The skids appear to be of good quality, and they are OEM Briggs and Stratton Skids that are of thicker metal than the original.My original skids were marked made in Canada, although these are not stamped with the country of origin.My original skids lasted almost 14 years, I hope these stand the test of time as well.You can find a video from me on YT called "Snow Blower Busted Won't Move Forward! These kid plates replaced the original ones on my 1998 Murray snowblower. Fit matched the machine perfectly. Only thing better would have been if it came with replacement mounting hardware. that's not a criticism, just a suggestion.

Slots are 2.5" apart center to center - the most critical dimension of the part and they don't list it in the description. I don't get that. Anyway, now you know. Quality looks reasonable.
