Ace foldable brolly
Yes it's neither the shortest, slimmest or lightest, but I've tried all those and they're flimsy, short lasting with no decent overhead coverage. This is built to last, endure most winds, and fully cover from rain, and easier to carry in decent sized bag unlike full length umbrella.

Flips inside out...a LOT
My last 4 umbrellas have been Fulton Jumbo's and I thought I would give this a try for extra wind protection. I wish I hadn't bothered. First use in moderate wind it flipped inside out three times in succession and is difficult to get it back right again as it's so big. After my 10 minute walk I folded it down and it would retract easily. The button now only partially opens it and you have to do the rest by hand. It's not windproof, the original Jumbo never inverted like this. If you are looking at both I would choose the standard.

Strong sturdy umbrella. Very wide, which is what I wanted.

Fantastic umbrella
Easy to use umbrella that is light and very sturdy. Great quality. Withstands even strong winds and has a large canopy despite its small folded size

Great coverage, but the vents don't work...
Overall good product where it matters, but the anti-flipping vent holes are flawed. Reasonably small when folded, huge when opened up. Can probably fit three people under it comfortably. Lightweight. Fits in most backpack side water bottle pockets. Problem is with the main selling point of the flaps that are meant to allow gusts of wind coming up under the umbrella to flow through them to stop it from flipping inside out. The flaps overlap with each other so much that when wind comes up, it presses them against each other which just seals them both shut together so the wind can't actually escape, so it is basically like it is just one big piece with no vents. Given how big the canopy is, it ends up catching a lot of wind and tries to flip inside out more often than you would think. One of the plastic hinges broke when it flipped inside out during a windy day. Still works ok but looks a bit naff with one of the ribs wobbling around. Buy it for being a good generic umbrella, not for being immune to flipping inside out. I haven't found an umbrella so far that can make that claim.

Why is it called Tornado?
Good size umbrella however why it's called Tornado I don't understand, as it does get turned inside out even with light gusts. Let's hope the ribs and joints are strong enough in the long term

How could Fulton have made something this bad?
I do not use these words lightly, but this is the worst purchase I’ve ever made in my life. I was a very loyal customer of this company, having bought from them probably 10 to 15 umbrellas, for myself and for other people. I bought this umbrella on the understanding that it’s supposed to be good in harsh weather. The umbrella would not hold its form from just the air flow of walking. When walking into the wind, it was floppy and didn’t hold it shape; if even the smallest amount of wind got under it, it would invert. Righting the umbrella involved trying to figure out how to collapse the umbrella and reopen it, which is itself confusing because of the mechanism. In the time I had it, it was actively worse than not having an umbrella at all. It was embarrassing because it collapsed all the time, and a handful because I need two hands to reset it. I accidentally left the umbrella on the train, but when I discovered, I didn’t even walk back. It can be someone else’s curse now. There is no way that a company which made this many good umbrellas should be able to make something this useless.

This umbrella was used as a "car umbrella" for my wife. Compact and wind resistant. The umbrella has a button to both open and close the canopy. Though purchased for the Christmas holiday in 2024, it did not see much use until this Fall (2025). The release button began to stick and we noticed what appeared to be a visible cable or some sort of other string or wire in the upper nexus of ribs. Can no longer count on it. Does not deploy without intervention and sometimes deployed upside-down.

Köpte för att testa. Tyvärr fångar den upp lätt vind och den är stört omöjlig att använda i stark blåst. Traditionella modeller fungerar mycket bättre. Intressant idé som inte höll hela vägen, i alla fall inte för mig.
