We had our first ride with the Tour Pack and Backrest yesterday and my wife said she is not going back to the sissy bar backrest! Happy wife, happy life! All kidding aside, this tour pack seems very sturdy and so far no issues with the locks as other reviews mentioned. My bike is black quartz so the paint does not exactly match but you need to be in the sun and looking for the difference to notice. Easy attach and removal once you get the technique. I would recommend some reinforcement; there is a metal plate that shows in the usually bought together section for about $65 but I made my own from a metal strip I bought at Home Depot for about $8. For my occasional use of the tour pack, this is a great alternative to the other more expensive after market tour packs or the HD tour packs.

Size: 9/10 Durability: 1/10 Installation: 1/10 Comfort: 1/10 Installation of the pack onto the bike was easy but installing the seat is a nightmare. Seat quality is terrible. The seat was ripped coming out of the package. and the seat has 0 padding, its basically hard plastic wrapped in saran wrap, with a fake leather coating. Seat mount design is terrible. Rubber bushings were used to hold the bolts instead of using a bolt to mount it as a whole unit. All bushings failed the first trip so the seat kept trying to fall off. Was able to rig it to stay on for the remainder of the trip. Locking mechanism on the tour pack broke within the first 50 miles. The two clips holding the lid shut are cheap plastic and pop open randomly while driving, and with the locking mechanism broke, had risk of stuff falling out. Rack installation requires you to drill your own holes which isn't hard but a template would have been nice. The saying "you get what you pay for" doesn't apply to this or it would only cost $5.00. I will be spending the money on a genuine Harley Pak.

Full disclosure: I attempted to take a picture of the blemish but the finish was so bright it doesn't catch the blemish in the picture (looks like a water drop on the lens). Overall I must say I am satisfied with this unit. The latches are a tad weak but this is a nice unit and a really great value. My only "gripe" is there is a blemish in the finish on top of the lid. It appears as though something may have landed in the paint and they attempted to remove it or it was a bubble of some sort. If it had been anywhere else other than the flattest, widest, most visible spot on the pack I might have been OK with it but this is something that should have been caught. In any event, other than that little faux pas, it is a very good value.

First of all, for the price it is a decent buy. With that being said ! The seat back is literally miserable to install. They have nuts on each end of the seat back that you have to keep adjusting with ZERO room to work with. It comes with the quick release bracket which is nice, BUT it does NOT come with the quick release docking brackets. Now, I guess if your bike was already set for a quick release trunk then it would be a quick hookup. My bike was not set for this option so I am now waiting for more pieces to show up tomorrow ( a week after I received the tour pack ). Solid construction and none of the bad revieve lack of holes exists on my pack. Bolted right to the frame with no issues. The key DOES stay in the lock but I have spoke to Harley who said they can order me a real lock, keyed to my ignition key for $35 so that is exactly what I will be doing next week.

It is a lightweight rack, but sturdy enough for what I need. It's stout enough to bungee items to, if needed. I'm fabbing an aluminum plate with this to mount on top to replace the pizza box on my trike. I'm not going cross country on this machine. I'm old and torn up, ridden my whole life, but not dead yet so I want the trike to look good to suit me. It does have the black rubber feet on the 4 mounting posts and rubber grommets for the underside mounting screws. So many parts are so overpriced. This wasn't. Real happy with this one.

I shopped & researched a LOT before deciding on this one. The fit & finish are superior to any aftermarket tourpack I know of, and the quality even better. The hardware is very good & strong, especially considering the price, and the box itself is thicker & more durable than I expected. The bottom is well reinforced with a honeycomb design & is plenty strong without needing the use of an interior metal plate. Plus, it's hard to distinguish from stock until you look close. Very happy I found this one at the end of my search. Had almost settled on another that had the backrest & top rack already, but then I found this one. The separate backrest is FAR superior than any other I've seen.

I bought this thinking it was going to be a better quality then the Mutazu 283900019 Vivid Black DMY motorcycle rear trunk sold for $99.00. I was wrong. The hardware is flimsy and should be replaced with something of better quality. The tour pack is really large and perfect for a road trip but it’s made a lightweight ABS plastic that easily bends. The top rack seems to be made well of decent quality. The wrap around backrest is of poor quality for the price. The bottom portion of the ends are hollow with no added support. This makes it very flimsy. Overall I’m unsatisfied with the item. I started added additional supports to it so I can’t send it back now. My suggestion is to shop for something better than this item. Spend a little more money and buy something that is of a better quality that will last.

見た目はすごくよかったです 内容量もフルフェイス２つは余裕で配布くらいのサイズなので満足です たた、ひとつだけ問題があって、走行していたら蓋が開いてしまいます。 鍵をかけて走行しても開いてしまいます。 止まっている時も鍵を閉めていても揺らしたりしたら開く時があります。 それだけが残念な所ですね。 大事なものは入れっぱなしにできないです。 純正品より安いですけど、高額なものには違いないので少し残念です。 いろいろ試してみたのですが、やはり鍵？蝶番？に問題がありそうなので、鍵？蝶番？を変えないとダメみたいなのですが、交換対応してもらえないです

Nice tour pack. Descent for the price. Backrest doesn't have a lot of cushion. When my package shipped it said "at shipping facility" for the longest time. Don't worry it will come.

Good quality,good price ,colour matched well too The only thing I don’t like is nothing on inside to show where to drill holes for rear lights etc

chrome top rack missing and hardware

Sloppy manufacturing made this unusable. A couple of the mounts were crooked so the rack would not sit level. Chrome finish was good and the rack seemed pretty solid , maybe it got damaged in transit. No problem getting a refund.
