FANTASTIC TIRES!
Achilles is now owned by Michelin. Learning that was what caused me to pull the trigger on these. These tires are incredible! I'd say unless you are a very advanced driver that can push your car to the mechanical limits, save a lot of money and buy these. I got 235/40r18.My car had the Goodyear F1 A/S on it when I bought it, and they were terrible. Spin in the first two gears, ride quality was like having tires made of wood. They did corner well, but that's it.These are firm, but not harsh. Smooth is an understatement. They have excellent turn-in response, but to be fair just a hair more vague than the F1s. Car still snaps in like a go-kart, just with the Achilles it feels more refined. Confidence with both 100% in that regard. These do not spin in any gear. They hook up and go in a straight line.Cornering grip is excellent. I took a right-angle corner at 45mph and got a little bit of squeal, but they didn't break loose. That is about the high-end of how near the edge I can drive, so I am very, very pleased! These are totally quiet on asphalt (blacktop) and at the usual around town speeds. On concrete highways, there is a faint buzzy growl at 75+, but it blends in to the background and isn't instrusive. I have a Flowmaster cat-back which is way louder than the tires.I can't speak to longevity as I only have a few weeks on them. I expect they'll go a couple of years based upon how I drive (spirited).I recommend these without reservation, and they would be a good purchase at twice the price, no joke.I plan on running these as long as I own my ST.EDIT: Just got back from a road trip that took me over Donner Pass both ways. Tires performed perfectly. Didn't notice any noise at all, ride very smooth, no issues with grip in corners at "spirited" speeds. Very, very pleased with these tires.

Excellent Value "All Weather" Tire
These aren't exactly classified as all season tires, and while they aren't Pirelli's, they grip well and do the trick for anyone on a budget.

Not a “Performance” tire.
Tires were fine for the first few months, although not NEARLY as good as the Sumitomo HTR ZIIIs I took off. They did the job of a fairly cheap “performance” tire. However, wet and straight line traction are abysmal. These are also possibly the LOUDEST tire I’ve ever owned, not the nvh. That was fine, it was going around a corner at not even moderate speeds, or if you lose traction taking off from a light, these things SCREAM.Add in the fact that these are in no way an all season tire and they barely lasted a year, I will not be buying these again. If you have a sports car, save your money and put it towards a good set of tires.

You get what you paid for.
Durability: Installed in July 2019, replaced in February 2020 about 14,000 miles on them. I guess I could have paid twice as more for twice the mileage.Comfort: Balanced. They held on okay and didn’t make a lot of road noise. Keep in mind I was driving a Ford Focus so if you are expecting Cadillac comfort and quiet, then these are not for you.In addition, the rubber when it was new did not have lot of meat. Will not buy this brand again.

These are outstanding tires for a low price quality!
This is my honest opinion of the Achilles atr sport 2 tires, how they are and what to expect from them. I have had $850+ (Good year eagle f1 & continental pro contact ) & I have tried $560 tires (road hugger got ultra) and now these $314 Achilles. Alright so where do these Achilles land on my rating scale? They are right in between! A 7 from 1 to 10 they preform like $650 tires but at half of the price! They dont beat the higher end tires of I didn’t expect them to but they are definitely better than the road hugger gts ultras and way less money leaving your pocket! The grip on corners and roll super easy from a complete stop my car feels like acceleration is better smoother, with the road hugger I had on before these Achilles I would have to get into higher rpms or my 1st gear would chatter and not engage easily and smoothly. Haven’t had any real emergency braking happening since I have had these on but I did brake test 50 to 0 on a empty street and I stopped pretty dam quick no sliding wheel screeching smoke etc. I dont get why people want to know about road noise but if you are one of those weirdos the tires are quite (they make the same low rolling sound that every tire makes) my high end tires made the same amount of noise and so did my middle range tires and you guessed it so do these low price no louder or quieter. Haven’t had any rain yet so can’t say anything about wet traction the water grooves look and feel deep though I’m sure they will work fine. I did do a little test run up the Azusa canyon they handled great all the way up I drove up to the very top5600ft and there was snow up at the top! Snow traction light snow on the road you’ll be fine if you drive with caution slow down take it easy like you should regardless of what tires you have on. But if you deep into deep snow these tires with spin I stuck half my car off the road and into a about 4 inch snow patch and it’s a no go if all four of my wheel were in the snow I’d be stuck. After a week of driving I think my tires were done being broken in they gotten more grippy and smoother operating but I did notice that the sidewalls were slowly starting to bend/feel softer on turns so I checked the tire pressure and it had dropped from 33psi each tire to 31psi i inflated them up to 35psi front and 33 rear and let me tell they are better than before with that set up in psi and the tire pressure has been steady ever since the break in period no more drops been steady 3days straight ill keep and eye on it till the week is up but Im sure im good already. I looked up reviews on all kinds of tires at a bargain price searching for the hidden gem tire low price but still preform great and Achilles is it. I was kind worried I read they suck they explode and they don’t last long you’ll have wheel vibration and they have flat spots ect but look im just a regular everyday guy that wanted the most bang for my hard earned dollars and these tires delivery it. I drive a 2018 Honda Civic si the car is stock no mods/upgrades it has 205horsepower and 192 pounds of torque if you drive something similar in terms of power and torque you’ll probably love these tires. (I’ll keep you guys updated on tread life and important changes in ride quality or how they preform or if anything goes wrong pray it doesn’t tho, I I’m gonna change my oil today so next time I have to change it I’ll remember to let you know what has happened since today 2/6/2021 I’ll be back with a update in 3000 miles)

Decent Performance, Decent Price
So far I’m liking the tires. I had them installed on my rears and had the Continentals rotated towards the front. I feel I got what I paid for each tire $60. I have no complaints that I can speak of. I’m not a car enthusiast or a mechanic to tell you the nitty gritty.Definitely better than driving on two front Continentals that each had to be repaired for flats three times. I drive a 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport. The TPS sensor drove me nuts before buying these. I wish they were more “grippy”? In Drive I can power slide accidentally if I take a turn too fast, but if I perform the same turn in Sport mode I have no issues. So must be a suspension mode issue and not a tire issue. Sport mode has better handling anyway (duh).
