Classic Chan!
As its never really made clear of the version reviewed (since amazon usually mix all reviews together), this is a review for the 88films bluray release. What can I say? Its another win from 88. Anyone who has bought a release of theirs before will know of the quality. Picture looks great, sound also great. Before this release, the ultrabit dvd was the only way to watch this great classic which as many know is rare and expensive as its long been OOP. Now everyone can enjoy this uncropped, uncut and restored to its full glory.I bought the limited version which comes with a card sleeve, double sided postcards and a poster of the awesome sleeve artwork. All nice additions to the release. The case inlay card is reversible and since I have the card sleeve, I opted for the alt side depicting an original poster.

Ghostly Kung Fu Jackie Chan Style.
Spiritual Kung FuBlu Ray Specs.Region Code: BAudio: DTS-HD MA MonoPicture: 1080p HD 2.35:1Runtime: 99 mins approxCertificate: 15Language: Cantonese / English DubSubtitles: EnglishPlot Synopsis.Yi-Lang (Jackie Chan) is a smart-alec martial arts student at a Shaolin Temple. An anonymous thief steals a book from the library which teaches a potentially fatal style of Kung Fu. Yi-Lang, along with a group of five other monks, is punished for not stopping the thief, but his bravery leads to him signing up to defend a supposedly haunted portion of the school.Upon discovering the ghosts, who are masters of a supposedly lost style of fighting known as The "Five Style Fists", Yi-Lang offers himself as a student, masters the form & uses it to progress quickly through the ranks of the school. In order to defend the school against the very thief who stole the book from its library.Timelord Thoughts.A Jackie Chan film were his character Yi-Lang is trained by The "Five Style Fists who appear wearing white jumpsuits & pink wigs? Well yes that is the bizarre premise for a Kung Fu movie but just go with it & you'll find a entertaining fun spirited action movie. The plots wafer thin, the actings over exaggerated, the English dubbing hilarious & the movie's tone is uneven switching between slapstick comedy to brutal fight sequences but nevertheless this is never dull & showcases some impressive fight sequences especially Yi-Lung vs the 10 monks using Tonfas against there staffs which is skilfully choreographed by Jackie Chan who was fight choreographer on this movie...I may sound like a broken record but 88 Films restoration of these Kung Fu classics are of the highest quailty, this company truly care about these releases, Spiritual Kung Fu on Blu Ray features a stunning clear, crisp sharp vibrant 2k transfer with DTS-HD MA Mono sound, Cantonese or English dub audio tracks & some great extras featuring a informative commentary by Mike Leeder & Arne Venema. Overall Spiritual Kung Fu is another must watch Jackie Chan classic to add to your collection, bizarre, bonkers kung fu comedy entertainment at it's best.

Spiritual Kung Fu looks awesome in BR
88 films once again deliver a high quality release this time Jackie Chans Spiritual Kung Fu. Here we get to see Jackie display and train in animal styles such as Snake, dragon and more. The fight between him and James Tien is a real highlight. Great picture quality for sure. Good to see Rick Baker on the extras also speaking about the movie.
