Versatile and functional programmable dimmer
I built one of these into a waterproof box to control my garden festoon lights. The program lets me have them come on at sunset, and dim slowly down to zero at bedtime. Good product if you’re comfortable with wiring up mains powered components. The app makes it relatively easy to set up lighting schedules.

It's just... fantastic!!
Setting this up is so easy, a very basic knowledge of wiring and some common sense (don't electrocute yourself!) is all that's needed. It's most obvious advantage is size: it fits nearly anywhere and it really packs a punch in terms of functionality. Once I had it all set up, the app is well designed and easy to use. Now I can control the flow of current (the dimmer function) and set up schedules to my liking all from the comfort of my couch. Generally I'm a huge fan of Shelly and I highly recommend this product.

Not seamless, but got there in the end
Since there aren't many reviews in English... I'm lucky enough to have neutral at the switch, so no issues on that front. Wiring instructions are not user-friendly, but if you're comfortable with home wiring and spend a bit of time understanding what goes where then it's logical enough. I started without a physical switch and just controlled with the app, which simplified the initial wiring for testing. The docs mention that it only talks to 2.4GHz WiFi. I run 2.4 and 5 on a single SSID but hoped that would be okay - it can't talk to 5GHz, so surely would just find the 2.4? But it failed to join the network after the initial config via the app (it talks to an inbuilt access point on the device for first-time config) and I ended up having to create a separate 2.4GHz SSID for it. The reset button, which doesn't seem to be documented (beyond "reset the device"), is on the rear of the device where the status light is - depress the plastic lug with a pen nib and you can feel the switch beneath. Lights (8 7W LED spots) stayed on for about 30 seconds before they turned off because the Shelly overheated! I'd noticed a fair buzz from the Shelly as well. I switched the Shelly to use trailing edge rather than leading edge dimming (my lights support both) and the buzzzing stopped and the overheating problem went away. It runs at about 50 degrees now, for reference. Once it was stable I added a £3 retractive switch, which allows on/off/dim/brighten from a single switch (press off, press on, hold to dim, hold again to brighten) and I now have it controllable with switch, app, via Home Assistant and with Echo, so if it stays stable then I'm quite happy. Oh, and I initially couldn't add to Home Assistant because the firmware was out of date. I'd opted out of "cloud control" because I didn't need it, but it seems that this also blocks firmware updates. Firmware update appeared (via browser connection to Shelly, not immediately in app) once I enabled cloud control.

Impressive and very complete little thing
Used this dimmer with in a hold house with simple toggle/rocker switch. Works perfectly. Allows to control the dimming by voice and still to turn on and off the light with the switch. Connected and wired in 10min.

I love the Shelley gear!
100% recommended if you want to bring smart dimmers to your existing setup. They can be a little tricky to setup but I've installed about 10 at home without fault, wouldn't be without them.

Did not work reliably.
Very disappointed with this particular product. Used many Shelly 1 Mini smart switches and like them a lot. However this dimmer did not work consistently. Was slow to respond sometimes and not stable and would often switch off straight after switching on using the app. Also existing rocker switches would not work consistently either, even though professionally wired by a good electrician. It seems that because the normal switches are wired 'in series' with the Shelly unit, anything going through that unit was unstable. It was connected to 9x6w dimmable leds on a switched two way circuit. Very disappointed that this didn't work especially after the good experience with the Shelly 1 minis

Great product but I wanted this to be easier and it wasn't.

Good but not great for me
Worked well initially but failed after a couple of months. Maybe just me as they get on average good reviews and thats why I originally purchased it.
