Following Inception and interstellar, Christopher Nolan presented us with another mind bending film overflowing with sophistication and careful planning. Just like the aforementioned two, I guess after the film will get more exposure and once it will settle in for the overwhelmed viewers people will analyse it and study its subtleties and sheer brilliance for years to come. This book offers an inside look into the written format of the film, and into Nolan's genius. Christopher Nolan presented us with yet another masterpiece, that only a brilliant mind like his is capable of. The amount of sophistication and attention to detail in this movie is uncanny, and Nolan brings us hope once again that an action blockbuster can challenge the intelligence of its audience. The film is for sure very complicated and requires more than one viewing in order to begin to understand it (a few analyses and illustrations reviewing online might be required as well), but that only makes it a grander achievement from Nolan's side that managed to create a movie so sophisticated and original, that yet at the bottom line everything in it still aligns perfectly and makes complete sense (kinda like Inception). Reading this highly sophisticated screenplay gives insight as to how a master storyteller such as Nolan constructs such a multi-layered sophisticated story and concept into written format that will be brought to life by the actors and crew. I think fans of Nolan or simply fans of the film will surely enjoy this book- for further inspection of the movie or even simply for collectible value.

The screenplay was fun to read after watching the movie and it helped me pick out and understand many subtle clues that I originally missed, which made re-watching the movie afterwards infinitely more enjoyable. This screenplay is definitely the way to go for whoever aims to fully unravel the puzzle that is the complicated storytelling of Tenet.

I haven't seen the movie yet as theaters are still closed in my state. From the reviews of the film, it seems a lot of people are having trouble understanding the plot because the dialogue is drowned under the soundtrack. Nolan's desire to focus more on sensory experiences than storytelling shows in the screenplay as dialogue is surprisingly minimal for such a complex concept. Characters are thin and seem to exist only to forward the plot and let you wrap your mind around its pseudo-science lesson. That said, it's a cool story with some good twists. I think I'll get more out of the film having read this and being able to enjoy the cinematography and soundtrack without worrying about the sound mix.

Great movie. Amazing music, editing, acting, and overall story. It also has so much depth that rewatching has so much value and enjoyment.

I was able to catch some of the dialogue I missed in the movie because I was either thinking (trying to figure out what is happening and some things are said rapidly), or the score and sound effects were too loud. I probably shouldn’t have read this, because I was also able to think about things and catch a few plot holes. Still, overall, a brilliant story and movie. Can’t wait to buy it and watch it again with hindsight.

Great companion for the movie. Helps to clarify this complex plot.
