Amazing!
It's definitely an all-round improvement to our old Oral B toothbrush - its extremely powerful and has every cleaning level - 'intense' is what I mostly use, and every time my teeth and gumslook and feel as though I've just been to the hygienist! Yes, it's quite expensive for a toothbrush, but once you use it, you will not be disappointed!

Just wish I bought it sooner
I had this in my basket for months unable to decide. It’s so expensive, I bought for the reduced half price value, but even that was a big ask for a toothbrush. However now I have it I am pleased and wish I bought it sooner. My old Oral-B rotating head brush wasn’t holding power anymore so I needed a replacement months ago and I think my teeth have paid the price. The new style of head is better. It doesn’t do what the old one does where the power fades slowly meaning a lot of the days you aren’t getting a good enough clean. It either works properly or it doesn’t, you only have to charge it for a short amount of time and it’s good to go again then you can charge it properly. My teeth feel so much cleaner every day. I’ve tried the whitening and daily clean setting and I think it’s helped but I will have to go to the dentist shortly to see how much damage I did by not getting the brush sooner.

May not buy Oral-B ever again
To me, this has to be the worst product Oral-B ever produced and it cost so much money. When I first got it, I thought it was very ni e looking but soon after first charge, I regretted bought it because it couldn’t hold the charge at all and it’s so sensitive that any movement will turn on the small display and drain the batteries very quickly. I bought 2 and now they are all back for repair. I have another 2 older type which still great. But I think after my old ones are finished, I won’t Oral-B again. Disappointed really, we’ve used the brand for more than 40 years.

Significant difference compared to older models
I used to have an Oral B toothbrush for many years historically but moved over to the Sonicare range. The old Oral B tooth brush range were like road digging drills compared to the Sonicare range so I stuck with them a for about 3 years. That was until the new iO8 and iO9 range came out for Oral B. What a massive difference to the older models, feel so much smoother and don't feel as aggressive as the old range on the teeth. I love the app the toothbrush comes with to tell you exactly how well you've brushed your teeth.Different settings allow u to have a standard daily clean setting, whitening, gum and tongue cleaning setting all the way up to an intense clean which is again, not as hammering on the teeth as the old range.I have the iO9 which I'm going to stick with for the timebeing until Philips bring out something better then there Diamond Care range. For the time being, the iO9 has pipped the Sonicare Diamond care toothbrush by a whisker.

Very good toothbrush, but let down by poor ill thought out app
I have used all sorts of brushes over the years, colgate, oral b, cheap poundland ones, all manual.I switched to oral b electric ones but never really got on with them. Then I switched to various Philips Sonicare brushes (when on offer). Concluded they are overhyped.Due to issues with gums and teeth started looking for solutions. This toothbrush was on offer at £250, very expensive, but equivalent to the cost of two visits to a good dentist.I use the gum care setting (having disabled all other options through the app).It takes around three minutes - four minutes to do so properly. So, around 8 seconds a tooth or 16 seconds the whole of the tooth. My teeth feel totally clean, like having been to the dentist, and they pretty much remain like that all day. (I clean twice a day.)I would highly recommend if you can afford it, or watch it using camelcamelcamel for when the price drops as that might help. The app is awful. It has not been thought through. It rarely connects properly, making it necessary to restart the phone, after which point it does work.As you work each quadrant really it should have a sandwatch type icon or a countdown so you know when to move and it should also let you increase how long you spend on your teeth, two minutes is just not long enough. There are a lot of gimmicks in the app which need removing. Real world usage would help them improve the app.I went for the io9 because of the app and 3D cleaning oversight in the app and the AI but I feel that it is a gimmic, perhaps it will improve over time.I did feel a bit shortchanged as but for the app any of the other iO toothbrushes would have been sufficient. For anyone with tooth issues or who is not sure that they are cleaning their teeth properly or applying the correct pressure (this has a light up pressure sensor, green for ok, red for too much, your choice of colour for not enough pressure). It is a useful tool and I do recommend it.

Impressed
To buy an electric toothbrush for £250 was a no no for me. Have been using electric toothbrushes for more than 30 years. My dentist at that time recommended Oral b.I have bought many electric toothbrushes over the years, latest one was a Philips sonicare. At first I liked it, but noticed not as good at cleaning my teeth as the Oral b did in the past. So decided to get this very, very, expensive toothbrush. The price is staggering, even if it lasts 3 years, with the cost of the brushes, you are looking at close to a pound a day. But that said, what is the price you pay for perfectly cleaned teeth and gums?Used it first time today. My oh my, am amazed how well it cleaned my teeth.Still early days, but I think I have spent my money well.
