Solid and simplistic
This is a solid and simple belt. It fit great and did the job. The belt can be harder to use then many others but what it lacks in ease of use it more than makes up for in reliability.

Great Pants Belts
Belt material is durable for normal use, with frequent exposure to dirt and sand. Won't rot like leather will, but may weaken if exposed to UV light on a daily basis.Cleaning just needs a bit of laundry soap and water at most.Paint on the D-rings wears off after awhile, and the steel will rust, so use caution if you have a tendency to swim with them or frequently get splashed from cleaning chemicals. The belt tips have a tendency to snag on pants loops when taking the belt off, and will open up and fall off the belt. They can be put back on the belt with little harm by simply pressing them back on thr belt with a good pair of pliers. Even if the tip is removed. belt won't fray since it's been melted at the end with a hot knife. If it does fray. you can use a cigarette lighter to re-melt the nylon.Would like to see a version with brass hardware to see how it holds up.

Great quality belts
Am happily surprised at the high quality of these belts. Nice thick canvas while not being too stiff. Good quality stitching. They appear like they will last many years,Bought these because I prefer the look of this squared off buckle to the traditional D ring style. An added benefit is they are easier to adjust than the traditional D ring belts. I frequently need to adjust belts because my gut can’t take pressure, so need different tensions sitting versus standing. These definitely slide easier than D rings. The dark gray goes very well with blue jeans. As a heads up with these or traditional D ring belts the excess of the belt ( the part past the buckle ), will end up on the opposite side of the buckle. With traditional belts the excess ends up on the same side as the buckle. So if you prefer your excess always on the same side, you need to feed this belt through your belt loops the opposite way. If you feed a traditional belt through the loop’s counterclockwise, you’ll need to feed these through clockwise to have the excess end up on your usual side.

Love the soft material of these belts
Look great and the soft material fits so well around your waist. Holds tightly for a D ring type belt,

Belt is hard to get apart
Belts are good quality and have held up for the last 10 months or so but they are hard to get apart once they are together around your waist. Someone with arthritis or that has issues grasping might have issues removing this belt once they are on.

So far, so good.
It's a belt? It appears to be a cotton-man-made blend. Very heavy cloth. Mostly single stitch around belt loops with a close zigzag stitch at the end of the material that would be subject to fray. It is also seared at the end of the buckle stitch to prevent fraying. It has a painted steel, crimped end, and painted loops. The 46 - 50 inch belt, is 59.25 inches when laid out flat. My waist is 46 inches and the 46-50 belt closes with about 7 inches of spare when worn. It fits as expected. I believe that initial quality and initial durability are oxymorons because quality and durability can only be tested by time. I find it insulting to be asked about those factors at the time of purchase, or any time, soon thereafter. However, this is a marketing tool used by Amazon so I will not deduct for misleading marketing.
