Great, sturdy rivets!
Purchased these after a failure of some cheap rivets that I used on about a dozen projects before I realized I could tear the rivets apart by hand. So these steel rivets are much more appropriate for my dog collars. There is definitely no pulling these apart when they are set correctly. One small issue is that I didnt have a Tandy press, and on my press the 8mm die would leave crescent marks along the outside of the cap. I took a pic so you can see it is just marginally larger than an 8mm die. I had to switch to the 9mm die, even though the listing says they are 8mm. I noticed in the listing it mentions specific setters with Tandy part numbers so those probably are an exact fit. Just FYI. Overall super satisfied and well worth the extra couple bucks to have a quality product!

Good quality
Good quality, much better than those I purchased off a foreign website. I would order these again.

Well worth the money.
I tried using cheaper rivets, and they would work well enough, but these ones seem to work much more consistently. Definitely continuing to go through Tandy rather than trying budget rivets.

Good quality
These were good quality but Unfortunately they were still too large for my project.

Adequate, but with a few annoying short-comings
I use these rivets in all the sizes Tandy offers, and I set them using a concave setter and anvil set, with a polymer mallet on a poundo board on top of a brick ledge. I haven't used any other kinds of rivets in my leather work, so I can't compare these to anything else, and it's very possible that my issues with these rivets apply to all rivets generally; setting rivets, at least manually, is a pain, plain and simple. Once set, these rivets hold perfectly well (although I always reinforce my rivets with a line of stitching, so I don't subject them to as much pressure as others might), but they are difficult to set straight - every other one I set goes crooked on the second hammer strike and I have to pry it off and start again. This is, of course, typical when setting rivets with a hammer, but frustrating nonetheless. The second issue I have with these rivets is the difference in post-length between the medium and the large rivets. The post of the small rivet is 3/16ths of an inch, the medium is 1/16th of an inch longer at 1/4 inch, but then the large is 7/16ths of an inch, 3/16ths of an inch longer than the medium. This seems extremely trivial, but that difference between the medium and the large means that when riveting a combined thickness of anywhere between 16 and 20 oz, the medium is too short and the large is too long.
