Good Value
These Tripp-Lite wall-mount enclosures are a fantastic value for anyone who needs a reasonably sturdy, roomy swing-out enclosure. I've got six of these up, in a few different configurations. A couple 18u models, a couple 12u with the plexi front and a couple 12u with the mesh front. I installed these versus other brands purely because they were reasonably priced and easy for me to get from a local vendor (or from Amazon). The price is right on these -- most other brands will be a decent amount more expensive. I like the racks on this in that they use the mounting nuts and not pre-drilled holes. The swing-out action is great, and it's easy to switch configuration from one direction to another. The locks are nothing special, and the one thing I'd caution is that this isn't the type of enclosure to use if you have an extreme need to keep things secure. The window on it is very thin, and the locks are nothing special. I actually had one lock fall apart on me once and thankfully I was able to reconstruct it. It also doesn't have the conduit knockouts you find in other products -- with this one they just have rectangular openings. You could still drill holes and stub conduit directly up to it if you wanted, it's just not quite as impregnable as some other options. In most cases I've ever been in though, we just need to provide a reasonable level of security against casual attempts to access the box. In that case, this enclosure works just fine.My only real beef is that I can't just buy the door itself. I bought the first two I have before they offered a plexi door option, and I'd love to change those doors out (the plexi looks nicer in public spaces). I talked to Tripp-Lite and they won't just sell me the door. I suppose I could try to mod the door myself, I just don't want the hassle. For this price you can't beat it. These enclosures are very roomy inside, have some nice options, are easy to work in, have convenient side-access panels, look good, mount easily, and provide great ventilation options. I'm a big fan, and about to buy another one. I hate working with enclosures that don't swing-out, and at this price I don't have to.

Awesome PreAssembled Wall Mount Rack
I looked at multiple wall mount racks before I purchased this one. The TrippLite model has several advantages over others:- competitively prices- shipps completely assembled and ready to use out of the box- low profile compared to some swing-out models- nice glass door- locking swing and locking front door with 2 keys for each lock (4 total)Disadvantage:- buyers should be aware that the rear of the rack is mostly a solid piece of steel except for a few keyhold slots for the lag screws- if you plan to pull cabling thru the back of the cabinet and not thru the top or bottom, then you'll need to do some modifications to the rear of the rack to pass cabling thru it.- the front of the rack does not seperate from the rear swing. You can't just mount a light weight wall plate to the wall and then lift and hang main rack later. It's done all in one fell swoop. This means you probably won't be able to load up your rack with equipment and shelves first. Instead, you'll need to add the equipment to the rack after it's wall mounted.Otherwise, this rack rocks. A quality build, easy to work with, not too awefully heavy.

Good quality with some damage
Came with large vertical scratch on acrylic. Vendor said they are unable to send a replacement piece and that the entire unit would need to be returned.Nice otherwise.

Better Than Expected
This is a good unit for the money. It shares features with more expensive units and is solid enough to use in a commercial setting. Initially concerned given the price is lower than other brands, but bought one to try out. We'll be using more.We put about 50 pounds of equipment in there in a fairly hot environment. So far no issues with overheating, so air flow is good.Install was fine enough. They provide pre-punched holes for installation, but we did to this one what we do to all wall-mount cages: shoot a "setter" nail through the back wall and into concrete using a powder gun; then drill and set Tap-Cons wherever we want. Beats the heck out of measuring, and the Tap-Cons are reversible should we ever have to move it (never done that yet). You could do the same with wood, I am sure. We always bang into concrete, though. The front and back rails are adjustable forward and back. Or you could remove them. There are places for tie-downs. We routed a 48-port Ethernet patch panel, a 48 port switch, an 8-port firewall, a leased-line termination point and some odds and ends. It all fits and cable management is not worse than anything else. We populated the Ethernet about half full but it will handle all of them when needed. There is no magic here. Zip ties are your friend. The only real mark against it is that the main door is slightly gapped at the top. It requires that you use one hand to push it while you turn the lock handle. That handle is plastic and I don't see it surviving constant access, but we won't be opening it a lot. If it breaks, we'll replace it with something else. No biggie.A quick comment for those who are surprised by the dimensions (depth): the dimensions are listed on the product page and at the manufacturer website. These things are not designed for full-sized servers. Those who work with them know this. It is a pretty common form-factor in industry. This one is not much different from others in this realm. By way of advice, I would be careful hanging servers on the wall. You can do it, but it generally won't end well if you try to do it en masse. But your gear, your call.Point is, this unit doesn't suck and I have run up against some real pricey junk out there. I'd be happy getting more of these anytime.

Wrong/Not Matching Mounting Hardware Included
We love this rack and would like to keep it instead or returning, but the included cage nuts and screws are not the same size. The screws are smaller/wrong thread for the cage nuts. How can we get replacement cage nuts and screws so we can mount our equipment? Or do we need to return the entire (70 Lbs) rack?
